I am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney. My schedule is quite flexible and my longest shift is typically 6hrs. I am happy to take on booking requests that fit well within my schedule.

I prioritize learning the routine and norms of your pet (including cues/commands, preferences, medications, etc) that will ensure their comfort and consistency. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with each individual pet.

Great things for me to know to ensure your pup stays happy and safe! Does your dog have special needs? Medications? Are they people or dog selective/reactive? Are they muzzle trained/do they use one when out? What kind of gear does your dog use? Any triggers I should know about? Anything that tends to startle them or make them uncomfortable? What cues/commands for you use with them? Any allergies or treat preferences? We’ll arrange a meet and great to ensure all the details are sorted!

Local walks are an option! I have a variety of leashes (10ft, 20ft, 50ft, and 100ft) and we can spend time sniffing and exploring nearby parks/fields. If fetch, tug, scavenger/find it games are your pups kind of fun, let me know!

I have a house full of fluff! Multi-dog home with big and small, male and female. Have done puppyhood and adopted adult dogs. Have cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits as well, and so am experienced with them, too! I worked as a pet trainer with PetSmart, interacting with dogs of all ages and breeds. I loved my job and helping other pet parents learn to be great communicators with their dogs and advocate for them! I have a specialist honours degree in Comparative Physiology from the University of Toronto, with a major in Biological Anthropology and minor in Psychology. I’ve graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney.

Simply amazing! My pets loved Mekeena and she was so informative, keeping me up to date on how the week was going while she took care of my 4 fur babies. 2 dogs and 2 cats. Mekeena truly went above and beyond from the start. She took the time to get to know the pets and gather any and all information relative to providing the best care while I was away. I instantly was ready to book her again for any pet sitting needs for the future! I would definitely recommend her and rebook!
