I like to do a “meet the family” day before we book so everyone can ensure we will work well together. During our initial meetup, I will ask questions about the care needed and the animals’ specific needs (medications, special instructions, quirks, likes/dislikes) and we will schedule from there. I like to send photos of pets while in my care so their parents know they’re happy and in good hands.

I would only need to know if a dog is aggressive or very shy ahead of time so I know how to approach on the first meeting.

I love to take dogs on walks or to parks (leash walking) if they don’t mind car rides. Playing ball and anything the dogs (or cats) enjoy doing. I like to spend a lot of time with my clients and get to know their temperament and tailor my moments with them to fit their specific wants and needs.

Hey everyone! My name is Mary, I’m 40 and have 20+ years experience both personally and some professional sitting. I’m comfortable with ALL animals! I’ve had everything from snakes to skunks, rabbits to large lizards and everything furry and wonderful in between. At the moment, I’m a cat mom to 6 funny and crazy cats and two dogs! I am a genuine animal whisperer, whispering even field mice into sitting for photos and relocating. I have dealt with farm animals, outdoor animals, indoor animals and always form a bond with my clients. I love to text pictures of the animals I’m watching to their owners so they see their babies are having a blast and in good hands! I’m very upbeat and friendly, always punctual and polite. Mary is very reliable and trustworthy. She was hired by my housemate to walk two small dogs during the workday. I simply can’t put into words how amazing Mary is. She is the most reliable, responsible pet sitter I’ve ever had and I know I can ALWAYS count on her no matter what. She goes above and beyond to take 5 star care of my dogs and loves them like her own. She is honest and compassionate and caring. She is super (like super) communicative 24/7 and puts up with my constant questions and texts as I’m a bit of a worrier with my pups, and work odd hours. She does little things that mean a lot like send me texts and pictures on her walks, making sure their water bowl is full if they drink out of it during the day, etc. After going through several pet sitters in a short time when I first moved to Asheville, I’ve had Mary for months now and finally go to work every day confident and stress-free knowing my babies Kiki and Sassy are in the best hands in town.
