Information Mary S. would like to know about your pet
I feel it is important for me to know if the pet has any medical conditions that require extra care on my part (e.g., arthritis). I am experienced with administering oral medications. Also, I would like to know ahead of time if a dog has anxiety or PTSD so that I can avoid situations that could trigger the dog. One of my own dogs has PTSD, so I am very accustomed to dealing with this.
A typical day
I love to play with dogs in their homes or outside in a fenced-in area. When going on a walk I always make sure they are on a secure leash (and harness if the client wishes) safe from harm or anything that could make the dog anxious. I will walk the dog wherever the client instructs me to, but always prefer to avoid busy roads and if possible, include new spots to provide variety. I always take a portable water container in case the dog needs water along the way. Poop bags are another must to take on the walk. I can also do mini car rides if they don't like walking or are very elderly. I also sell doggy treats and breath mints on the side. If your dog boards with me while they are at my house to get a birthday cake $5.

Pet care experience
My name is Mary and I have 14 years of hands-on experience with owning and caring for all types of pets, mostly dogs and cats. I have also cared for small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and reptiles. I enjoy working with all types of animals. My most recent experience has been working as a kennel attendant and doggie daycare attendant. My future long-term goals are to become a dog trainer and own my own pet daycare business. I’m here to help you and care for your furry friend. I will make sure that you are happy as well as your pet! My schedule is currently flexible. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask by texting or calling.
Reviews
Mary Serrano has been an excellent caregiver for not only my dog, but also my cat and bearded dragon. For our family's needs, we had her come to our house while we were on vacation to take care of our pets daily needs. She is very diligent and conscientious about her work. She would often stay longer than anticipated to give extra attention to our pets, making sure that they did not miss us too much while we were away. If anything seemed remotely out of place she would contact us immediately. She is kind, honest, and a true pet lover. I would not hesitate to use her again to take care of our pets and highly recommend her.
