I am careful to constantly watch while going in and out of doors to ensure pets remain safely inside. When outside, unless there is an enclosed space, pets are ALWAYS leashed. And even with an enclosed space, pets are NEVER left out alone.

While I do not have breed preferences, I would like an opportunity to meet and get to know your dog before I take you on as a client. I have dealt with difficult dogs but I MUST be made aware if your dog has any sort of behavioral issues such as but not limited to dog aggression, food aggression, anxiety, etc. Due to my experience with many dogs, I am not likely to turn your dog down just because he/she might have issues, so please be honest and I will see what I can do!

As a companion caretaker, I’ve gotten used to walking more than 7 miles a day. There’s nothing I’d rather be doing than walking dogs, regardless of weather! I’m an expert when it comes to tossing balls, frisbees, and the like. Active lifestyle not really your dog’s thing? I’m one of the best belly-rubbing people around! Whatever your dog loves to do, I can meet that demand (within reason of course!)

I’m an Animal Science graduate from the University of Illinois! I worked as a companion caretaker at a vet clinic and have experience as a zookeeper! I have experience with all sorts of animals including dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, birds, and fish. As an owner of 5 cats, 3 rats, and 2 dogs (pit mix and chihuahua!), nothing is more important to me than the happiness and safety of your pet! I am generally available Monday-Friday from 9 am-10 pm on weekdays and 10 am - 10 pm on weekends for walks and drop ins. Daycare can be provided on certain weekdays with prior planning. You can rest easy and be sure that your dog, cat, or both, are in responsible, experienced, and caring hands!

Marissa is fantastic! We have booked multiple overnight stays with Marissa to take care of our cat and dog, and we couldn't be happier. She leaves the house clean, and most importantly, she is able to handle our nervous, food aggressive, rescue dog and our rescue cat that requires multiple medications. The videos of the dog and cat in her care confirm their happiness, and this review is to confirm ours. You couldn't ask for more. She is prompt in her responses, provides all care required, and goes above and beyond to make your pets comfortable while you are away.
Marissa was amazing with my "boys". She shared pictures & videos which put my mind at ease to know they were well taken care of. I'd definitely recommend & would use Marissa in the future.
Marissa was wonderful and very reliable. From our first meet and greet, all 3 of my dogs loved her. She was very attentive to their needs, especially Snowy’s medical needs. We will definitely use Marissa’s dog services again. ❤️???❤️
