I have a big backyard and fenced in. When it’s outdoor time I am always outside with the fur babies supervising their activities. I am an experienced walker as well providing safe walks for your pets.

For dogs needing walks, it is important to know how socialized your pet is to other dogs (if dog aggressive) and to people so that I may adjust the walk as needed. Does your pet have separation anxieties? This is good to know beforehand so that I can provide the best care in helping them be at ease while you are away and if I must be away for brief errands while pet sitting on extended stays, I want to be sure your dog is secure and relaxed until I return. For special needs pets, I have walked a couple of dogs who were blind and they required a little extra assistance and time in order to enjoy being able to get outdoors and go for a walk. Those are just a few things good to know before starting the visit or pet sitting and going on walks.
A typical day
My goal is to keep to your pet's regular routine schedule while you're away. With each walk, visit or stay your pet will have good daily exercise whether a vigorous walk for a younger dog or a nice leisurely stroll for an older senior there will be lot's of time for fresh air and enjoying the scenery. I have pets of my own and know how important it is for pets to enjoy indoor activities too with a variety of their favorite toys.

***For Dog Boarding: Dogs Under 15 pounds Only*** My experience with caring for animals includes walking dogs for clients in the Northern VA area. I attended PetSmart's grooming academy over 12 years ago and worked as a groomer. I have two dogs; a sweet little MinPin Pom who is 14 years old, Miss Yippy and a highly energetic sweet German Shepherd/coonhound mix who is almost two years old, Brutus Henry. I also have grand"fur" babies that I've cared for in my family; a medium sized Terrier mix and a Doxie. A Purebred German Shepherd and an English Mastiff. I also love cats! So if I'm taking care of your fur babies, dogs or cats they will have good care and get lot's of TLC whether on walks or visits. I've taken care of a variety of ages and breeds and love them all. I will provide safe and reliable care for your pets while you are away.

We are very thankful to have had Marianne help us with a drop-in today. Yesterday, she came by our house for a Meet-and-Greet where she got to know our dogs and the layout of our house and neighborhood.
