This job fits seamlessly into my routine, allowing me to dedicate my full time and attention to caring for dogs—something I’m truly passionate about. I prioritize creating a caring, attentive, and safe environment where dogs staying for daycare or overnight boarding receive constant care, companionship, and plenty of love. In addition to boarding, I offer daycare and drop-in visits, which add flexibility to my schedule while maintaining the highest standards of care. If I have any scheduled drop-ins, clients staying at my home will be informed in advance, and I will never be gone for more than 1-2 hours at a time. This gives dogs a chance to rest and decompress after all the playtime and excitement. With that being said, punctuality is key to ensuring every dog gets the care and attention they deserve. If a client arrives 10 minutes late without notice, a $10 late fee will be charged. No-shows or excessively late arrivals (30+ minutes without communication) may result in cancellation with no refund. By maintaining a reliable, loving, and organized routine, I ensure that every dog in my care has a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free experience.

Safety, trust & environment

At Nova’s Fetch and Stay Retreat, I treat every pet like family, offering care that’s as personalized as their needs. For boarding at my home, I provide a safe and loving space with a fenced-in yard for playtime and exercise. Your dog will never be left alone for more than 4 hours unless otherwise arranged, and they’ll get lots of attention, cuddles, and companionship. I also have a quiet room for dogs who need a little time to themselves to relax or recharge. For daycare, I make sure each dog gets the attention they need—whether it’s time to play, explore, or chill out in a calm space. The yard is always available for a fun romp, and I adjust the pace depending on your dog’s energy. For drop-in visits at your home, I’ll take great care of your pets by following your instructions—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just giving them some love and attention while you’re away. My goal is always to keep them safe, happy, and comfortable, whether they’re with me or in the comfort of your own home.

Information Maria Fernanda & John G. would like to know about your pet

Before your pet stays at Nova’s Fetch and Stay Retreat, there are a few important things I’d like to know to ensure their comfort, safety, and happiness: 1. Health and Medical Information: Any known health conditions, allergies, medications, or special dietary needs. This helps me keep an eye on their well-being and make sure they’re properly cared for. 2. Behavioral Traits: Is your dog shy, anxious, or nervous around new people or other dogs? Knowing how they typically react to new situations will help me provide a stress-free environment. 3. Feeding Schedule: What times and portion sizes do they usually eat? This helps me maintain their routine and avoid any tummy troubles. 4. Likes and Dislikes: Are there certain toys, activities, or other dogs that your dog loves or dislikes? Any specific preferences, such as favorite snacks or favorite spots to rest, help me tailor their stay to be as enjoyable as possible. 5. Exercise Needs: Does your dog require a lot of playtime, or do they prefer more relaxed activities? Knowing their exercise needs ensures I can give them the right amount of attention and activity. 6. Training Status: Are they potty-trained or still in the process? Do they follow commands like “sit” or “stay”? Knowing their training level ensures I can manage them better during their stay. 7. Crate Preferences: Do they prefer to be crated, or are they okay being free in a designated area? I want to respect their comfort zone while ensuring safety. 8. Sleeping Preferences: Where does your dog usually sleep— in a crate, out and about in the house, or on the bed? Knowing this helps me create a familiar and cozy environment for them during their stay. 9. Social Behavior: How do they behave around other dogs and people? Are they generally friendly, or do they need more space to feel comfortable? This helps me create a positive environment for all pets. 10. Emergency Contacts: Who should I contact in case of an emergency, and do you have a preferred vet or emergency clinic nearby? By providing this information upfront, I can give your pet the best experience possible and ensure they feel safe and happy during their stay at Nova’s Fetch and Stay Retreat!

A typical day

At Nova’s Fetch and Stay Retreat, I provide a fun and safe environment for every pet, with activities tailored to their needs. 1. Playtime in the yard: Dogs have plenty of room to run and play in the fenced-in yard, whether it’s a game of fetch or just exploring. 2. Toys: I provide a box of toys that all dogs can enjoy together—these are meant for rough play and are destined to be ripped. I don’t allow dogs to bring their own toys to avoid them getting damaged, but if you’d like to add something to the toy box, you’re welcome to. 3. Decompression time: If your dog has special toys, chews, or treats, I’m happy to offer them during quiet time when they are separated from the other dogs. This ensures they can enjoy their treats safely and without the risk of conflict. 4. Quiet time: For dogs who need a break from the excitement, I provide a calm space where they can relax, nap, or decompress away from the other pets. 5. Short walks: If your dog needs a little extra exercise, I offer short walks (15-30 minutes) around my neighborhood. These walks are available if needed, but they won’t be long-distance outings. 6. Water play: When the weather warms up, I’ll be adding a pool to the yard, providing a fun spot for the dogs to cool off and play in the water. I adjust these activities based on your dog’s personality and needs, making sure they have a safe, fun, and comfortable stay!

Nova’s Fetch & Stay: Loving Sitter!

Pet care experience

Welcome to our loving dog boarding and daycare home, where your furry friend will be treated like family! My husband and I share a deep passion for dogs, and we have two dogs of our own, Harley and Nova, who love making new friends. What sets us apart from other sitters is my years of experience caring for dogs, starting at just 16 years old. I’ve taken care of dogs for friends, neighbors, and even my high school teachers, and to this day, I still drop in on my teacher’s dogs when I’m available. Both my husband and I love dogs deeply, showering them with love and attention. We have a spacious, fenced-in yard and a separate room for dogs who need a quiet space to decompress or just hang out—perfect for pups who prefer solitude and a safe environment outside of a crate. We welcome potty-trained dogs, but if your pup is still in training (especially puppies), we just ask for a truthful heads-up so we can accommodate their needs. We do not require crating unless requested by the owner or if a dog is destructive. Our goal is to create a stress-free, comfortable environment for all our guests. With a fenced yard providing plenty of space for play and exercise, your dog will have a fun and engaging stay. Since this is my full-time job, dogs are never left alone for more than four hours, unless otherwise instructed. Both my husband and I are Rover background-checked and approved, ensuring your pup is in safe and trusted hands. In addition to boarding, we offer daycare and drop-in visits, giving you flexible options to fit your schedule. Rest assured, your dog will receive plenty of attention, care, and cuddles while you’re away, making their time with us a tail-wagging delight!
