I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years and have fostered more than 30 dogs through Furkids Animal Shelter and our county euthanasia list. That experience has given me hands-on knowledge with dogs and cats at every life stage, from puppies still learning potty training to seniors with ongoing medical needs. I lead with empathy and patience, especially with animals who may be nervous, adjusting, or need extra understanding. I’m comfortable administering care for medical needs and maintaining routines that help pets feel safe and secure. I care for every animal the way I care for my own and treat each one I meet with the same love, respect, and attention. I am experienced with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles, and fish tanks. I am also certified in Dog/Cat First Aid.

Her experience with animals is obvious and she even went above and beyond taking Finn to the park, sharing one of her extra dog "thunder shirts" when Finn was afraid during a storm, and spoiling him with treats and cuddles. Manuela was amazing! She asked great questions during the meet and greet, sent plenty of pictures, videos, and detailed updates, and clearly put in effort to make sure Koconut was comfortable. Koconut is a chill, low maintenance dog, who doesn’t readily appear to need high activity, and often times that means people don’t do as much with him. It was clear Manuela went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, spent time with him outdoors, and provided opportunities for exercise. She also came up with training ideas for his problem areas and made special treats for him.
Manuela was great! She provided updates throughout the day and was super easy to communicate with. You can tell that Daisy really enjoyed her time there and was loved on!

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. During the week, I work in an office Monday through Thursday but have flexibility for pet check-ins and dog walks as needed. From Friday through Sunday, I am home with much more flexibility, which allows me to focus on overnight boarding, day sitting, extended care, and walks. I structure my schedule around each pet’s needs to ensure they receive consistent attention, care, and companionship.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, pets have a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment. I have a fully fenced yard with turf and a large deck, and we spend most of our days outside enjoying fresh air and supervised play, weather permitting. I also have a dedicated room just for dogs, giving them their own calm and cozy space when they need downtime. I am able to accommodate dogs who are dog-friendly or dog-tolerant, and I carefully manage interactions to ensure everyone feels comfortable and secure. Crating is optional and always based on the pet parent’s preference, as long as the dog is non-destructive when I step out. When caring for pets overnight, I’m never gone for more than four hours in a day, so your pet receives consistent attention, companionship, and care—just like they would at home.

A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, active, and tailored to your dog. We head out for a walk that matches their energy level, with plenty of sniff breaks and fresh air. I stick closely to your routine, keep things positive, and make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. After our walk, I refresh water, do a quick paw check, and leave your pup happy and relaxed. You’ll get photo updates and a quick note so you always know how things went.
