I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I always knew they’d be vastly important to me. At 16 I started training my Lab, Bear, and it took off from there. I worked at a corporate daycare moving up to the manager position over around 3 years. I did grooming, dog introductions, yard management with up to 25 dogs, overseeing all care, medication administration, reception, marketing, etc. When I was around 19, I started working for a well known trainer/sitter and friend in the snohomish area. I learned how to approach more difficult training cases, manage a small business, and interact with all sorts of dog personalities. I did walking and Housesitting, as well as 1-on-1 dog training. I tackled reactivity, impulse control, leash manners, off leash obedience, behavior modification, and more. After stepping away from training for a bit to expand my experience, I worked for a grooming company for about 6 months doing nail trims, anal gland expression, and ear cleaning. I worked with LOTS of dogs who hadn’t ever had a successful nail trim, desensitized regulars, and introduced puppies in a playful way. I ended up leaving and taking time away from work entirely to focus on my health. I’m starting to get back into the groove of things!
