Pet care fits into my routine really well since I work part-time and have open availability in the mornings. I’m free until 1 PM most days, which gives me plenty of time for walks, feedings, playtime, or drop-in visits. I enjoy starting my day caring for animals, it’s honestly one of the most rewarding parts of my week.

I make sure the environment is clean, secure, and pet-friendly, no harmful items within reach, plenty of fresh water, and a cozy spot for them to rest. I stick closely to the pet’s usual routines and care instructions, whether that’s feeding times, walks, or medications. I also keep communication open with the owner, sending updates and photos so they can feel confident their pet is in good hands. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for.

When I watch pets, I love making sure they stay happy, active, and engaged! For dogs, I enjoy taking them on fun walks, playing fetch or tug-of-war, and working on simple training games with treats. For cats, I like using interactive toys like feather wands or lasers, setting up window perches for bird-watching, and giving them some cozy cuddle time (if they’re into that!). I also love using puzzle toys or treat hunts to keep them mentally stimulated. Every pet is unique, so I always try to tailor activities to what they enjoy most!

Makayla would be a great pet caregiver. No matter what tasks she does, whatever challenges face her, she is always there to make sure that she accomplishes them. She is always on time, always works hard, and most importantly, never gives up. As a Pet caregiver I just know that she would always take great care of the pets, treat them with respect, and make sure that she is there if any of the pets were facing problems.
