Pet care experience

I'll love them just like you do!

Hi! My name is Maddie and I am a current Master’s student at the University of Nebraska in the Counseling Psychology program. Since I was very little, animals have been an important part of my life. I have lived with dogs for as long as I can remember! I have had a lifetime of feeding, playing with, walking, and caring for them. I have also had experience with various sizes and breeds of dogs, and regularly look after a handful of pets (including cats) in my neighborhood. I have plenty of time during most of my days to snuggle, walk, and care for any of your furry friends.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

While caring for your pet, I understand that I would be occupying the space that is your pet’s home. I also understand that the space should remain as it was when you left, and will always clean up after myself and only use what I am permitted to use by the owner! I want to make sure that both you and your pet feel secure with me being in your home.

Exceptionally happy with Maddie's demeanor with our dogs and the fine care she provided to them. I give my highest possible recommendation regarding this conscientious dog sitter to anyone looking for a reliable and kind-hearted companion for your dog.

Maddie was so easy to work with and accommodating! She sent pictures of the dog and let us know how it was going. I’d have her stay again!

Maddie kept us in the loop by sending pictures and videos of our pets daily while we were gone. We knew our fur babies were in good hands. We can't think her enough for taking such good care. In addition, our house was in the same condition as we left it so she was sure to pick up after herself as well. We hope she will be available the next time we travel.

Maddie loved animals and is very responsible. She comes into our house and stays with out dog while we are out of town. Our dog loves her! Recommend her highly!

Maddie would provide safe, loving care for your pet. She is very responsible, dependable and dedicated. Her calm personality puts you (and animals) at ease and is an overall awesome person. I, personally, recommend Maddie without any doubt or reservations in working with your pet!

Maddie's skills in taking care of our furry family member Murphy are phenomenal. Murphy is a 5 year old German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix who is approximately 90 lbs. He is a big dog with lots of energy and the need for lots of exercise. Maddie has dog sat for Murphy on several occasions, and we know that when she is here, Murphy is in the best care. Maddie is our go to dog sitter for sure. Murphy has always been so excited to greet Maddie when she arrives. He knows he is going to get lots of one-on-one attention with lots of exercise and sweet cuddles. I will say that we have a yard that is not fenced and with Murphy being the size of dog that he is, sometimes the neighbors can be alarmed with him wanting to leave the yard. Maddie has always been able to keep him in control. I highly recommend Maddie for any dog caregiver needs that you may need. She is the best and her love and passion for animals is very obvious. When Murphy follows her to the door when she leaves, I know that he's found a great caregiver and friend in Maddie.

I work from home in addition to being a full-time student. My only "full" day of classes is Wednesday, but I am able to take breaks to come on check on my furry friends throughout the day. Otherwise, I am able to spend a lot of time at home and outside with your pup!

To begin, I would like to make this clear: I do not have any breed preferences! I love all dogs. Before taking care of your pet, I would love to know a little bit about your pets' favorite things! What are his/her favorite toys? Where do they love to play and take walks? What treats do they look forward to each day? Do they like car rides? My main priority while pet sitting is to make the experience as comfortable and normal as possible for your furry friends! In addition, I think it is fairly important to know if the dog is very protective or slow to warm up. This would in no way deter me from watching the dog, but would help me be prepared for public situations (for example, while walking your pet). My family has a German Shepherd who is an absolute sweetheart but is extremely protective of me and very slow to warm up to strangers, and I know ways to make her feel more comfortable around people she is not familiar with.
