I’ll Treat Your Pets Like My Own
Hi, I’m Lydia! I’m a post grad student living in Madison and I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. Currently, I have two cats and volunteer at the Dane County Humane Society working with cats who have ringworm and upper respiratory diseases. I’ve owned multiple shelter dogs and understand many of the problems that can arise with pets. Through my own pets I also have years of experience dealing with health issues and behavioral issues. I would do anything for my pets, and when your pets are in my care, that extends to them as well. I have lots of experience with a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, and fish! I work 4 days a week at St Mary’s Hospital in downtown Madison but I am available in the evenings and early mornings on weekdays and all days on weekends! My work schedule can be flexible most days too so let me know what will work best for you and your pets!

I have extensive experience with handling animals. Feeding, playtime, and enrichment are all areas I’m very confident in. Additionally, from volunteering at the humane society, I have lots of experience with administering medications in a variety of ways, and working with animals that are sick or scared. When I’m working at your home, I will always be extremely respectful of your materials and property. It’s my goal to make sure that both you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible.

Lydia did a great job watching my cat Bones! She followed my feeding instructions and schedule perfectly and was respectful of my home. Lydia is an experienced pet owner herself and cares a lot about animals!
Over the past few years, Lydia has served as a great dog sitter. Every time she has watched our dog, Lydia has made it a priority to ensure that our high-energy dog is exercised well through regular walks and playtime. Lydia is aware that our dog can be resistant to taking her daily medication at times, and has been dedicated to ensuring it is administered successfully in a gentle manner. She also readily provides updates when asked and is proactive in making our dog feel comfortable. During the time we are away, we know that our dog is in good hands with her. If you have a trip coming up, I would recommend others to hire Lydia to watch their pets!
Lydia has watched my pets on multiple occasions! She is reliable, follows directions, and sends great updates! I always feel comfortable leaving home for a few days when I have Lydia taking care of my pets/house. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Harmonogram
Whether it be feeding, exercise, or playtime I understand that oftentimes animals need a routine to feel comfortable and safe. I will always do my best keeping to the schedule that is agreed upon!
