I work full time mon through thursday, but I am available Friday thru Sunday and evenings. On weekdays I work from 7am to 5:30 pm.

When I stay with any animals I treat them like my own. I understand the feelings of anxiety that come with leaving a pet (and a home) for any period of time, so I make sure to give them as much love as any good owner would. I'm happy to adapt my routine to fit theirs and whatever the owner does as closely as possible.

Long walks in the woods or by the river are a frequent pastime for me. I also love taking dogs to the park to play catch or frisbee!

Having worked 4 years at a local dog grooming business, I have tons of experience handling dogs and keeping them calm and occupied. Grooming can be stressful, especially if the dog (or cat) has a hard time saying good bye to their owner, and I worked hard to make all my animals comfortable. Since my days as a groomer, and after getting my bachelor's degree, I much more frequently dog and house sit for coworkers, friends, and family. These visits have ranged one day to 2 or 3 weeks at a time. I am working towards a master's in wildlife biology, so any opportunity to spend more time with animals is such a joy. I enjoy taking long walks and hikes in the woods, and am always happy to have a furry companion come along with me. I'm a pretty quiet, creative person, and like to do much of my professional work and hobbies at home, so I'm always happy to spend that time with my cats or others' pets. I do moderate to intense cardio exercise everyday, and will always be game to run around in circles with a dog!

I hope there isn’t a character limit on this review. I recently moved to Williamsburg and was getting married out of town 5 weeks later. I had a sitter lined up in my previous city but plans changed without notice. In stepped Lizzy. There are crazy dog parents and then there is me. My dog, an American Staffordshire named Fiona, saved my life during tough mental health times. She saved me from the brink. As such, I care for her with all my heart. I don’t trust just anyone to look over her. As soon as Lizzy came over for a meet and greet, I knew I could take a deep breath. Lizzy is a listener and an empathetic caretaker. One of my biggest complaints with previous sitters (even friends of mine) is having to ask for updates or pictures. Never happened once with Lizzy. She took initiative and updated me with pictures and a detailed account of Fiona’s mood. She stayed the night and put up with Fiona’s aggressive cuddles. I cannot wait to book with Lizzy again.
Lizzy was great! Very dependable and our dog loved her. We definitely hope to work with her again.
