I have a pretty flexible and open schedule as I am currently on a break between working in family law and moving to France on August 14th to study for an aerospace degree.

I always prioritize the pet's happiness and wellbeing. While I love interacting with pets, I am also totally understanding if there is a pet that wants space. I am aware from prior pet sitting experience that sometimes a pet can behave differently when their owners are not home, so I try to take every precaution when it comes to their safety. I am aware of the foods and plants that are harmful as well as what a pet can safely play with. I also know how to properly clean and sanitize messes that a pet can make such as urine, feces and vomit. I have worked with raw pet food so I am well versed in how to minimize contamination risks. I also have strict sanitation procedures from my dog showing days that I always follow between handling pets in different households. I always carry with me a basic vet care bag and am able to treat light burns, small cuts and flush out eyes if need be. In the case that any medical care is necessary, I always check with the owner beforehand with what they want me to do.

I always do what is in the best interest of the pet and complete the instructions left behind by the owner. This can mean taking your pet for a walk or staying home to provide a warm lap, playtime or whatever else the pet needs. I always check that there is clean and fresh water and that the litter box (if applicable) is clean. I can also feed your pet during my visit if requested.

I have had cats my whole life and would consider myself to be very experienced with them. I have fostered kittens for the past few years during peak kitten season as well as had my own pet cats throughout my life. I have experience with bottle babies up till senior kitties on end-of-life care. I have navigated emergency vet care and know what symptoms could be signs of an emergency. I also am able to read a cat's body language from all of the cats I have cared for. I always use a quiet voice and walk lightly on my feet around cats to allow them to be as comfortable as possible while respecting their boundaries. I have experience giving medication to cats in the form of pills, gels and injections.

Lillian took care of our three pups in our home for a week and she was truly wonderful! She was so sweet with our three dogs and they clearly loved her. She sent daily update texts with pictures and she kept the gardens watered and the house was neat as a pin when we got home. We were able to really relax and enjoy our vacation knowing she was taking such good care of them. If you’re looking for a reliable, mature, responsible, kind person to housesit and take care of your pets, you couldn’t find anyone better than Lillian!
