I have no pets of my own and only board pets from one family at a time. (Or for less stress for all, I’m happy to take care of your pets in your home.) Your fur baby will have my full attention 24/7. Neighbors, Rover customers, friends, family, and animal shelters have relied on me to walk, feed, medicate, bathe, train and give loving care to a wide variety of animals over the years. All give me glowing praise and recommendations. Most importantly, I love doing it and taking care of pets is the highlight of my day. I am retired so I have lots of flexibility and availability. I am willing to take on any job - big or small. I live on the west edge of Fenton Township (convenient to Hwy 23) but drive to downtown Fenton often. So jobs in Linden and Fenton are both convenient. No job + no pets + no small children = no distractions. I’ll give your pet attention 24/7. Partially fenced yard and quiet street with only 12 homes for peaceful, leashed walks. Nearby trails and parks for longer adventures and daily exercise/exploring/socialization. I have a stake with a 25 foot lead for relaxing in my backyard (25 ft radius = 50 ft diameter) and watching nature and interesting activity on the lake. We can swim or wade in my lake if you approve. Or just have fun watching the fish and waves from the beach or dock. I’m happy to give a quick bath with puppy shampoo after the lake if you approve.

I’ll listen carefully to your instructions and follow them all. If I ever have any questions or notice any odd behavior or health issues, I notify the owner immediately. Lots of people tell me that I’m a “dog whisperer”. I agree that I have a sixth sense for knowing how a pet is feeling and trying lots of different tactics to keep them happy and healthy. Unfortunately, I frequently fall in love with my guests. It’s always bittersweet when they leave because it’s sad to see them go, but they are always so very, very happy when their owner returns.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Leslie! We were away in the Dominican Republic for a week and felt completely at ease the entire time, thanks to her. She took incredible care of our chocolate lab Maya and our home — going above and beyond in every way. What really stood out was her communication. Leslie sent us photos and updates every single day without fail. As pet parents who are very attached to our girl, that daily contact meant the world to us and gave us true peace of mind to actually relax and enjoy our vacation. We came home to a happy, healthy, well-loved pup and a home in perfect order. We would trust Leslie again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who genuinely cares. Our dog, Lilah, stayed the weekend with Leslie and her husband recently! They were super nice and prompt at responding. We really appreciated their flexibility with dropoff/pickup and pictures/updates they sent! They seemed to really enjoy Lilah’s company and she loved them! Would definitely recommend and use again!

I’m retired. Your pet will get my attention 24/7. And my husband is also retired, so usually there are two of us doting on our guests.
