Hi, I’m Len, and I’ve been lifelong passionate dog lover. With over 30 years of hands-on experience with dogs of all kinds from energetic puppies to wise senior pups and everything in between I understand what it takes to provide excellent care tailored to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Dogs seem to take to me naturally, and I love building trust and strong bonds with every pup I meet. Whether your furry friend needs long walks, a playmate, or a quiet companion, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Living in Oakland, I’m familiar with all the best parks, walking routes, and local spots where your dog can enjoy the outdoors. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for, just as if they were my own.

Len was fantastic! He took care of our pup Wisco after our last minute change of travel plans for 4th of July weekend. Our dog is older, had just started some medication, and also is afraid of fireworks (so not ideal to be away from home during 4th of July). That said, Len made sure to understand her sensitivities so he could create an environment where she felt safe/comfortable given the holiday weekend. He shared the cutest photos of her while we were away, and we came to a very happy dog. Would absolutely book with Len again.
Len took fantastic care of my girl Winnie! I got lots of photos and felt very comfortable knowing she was in good hands :)
We are grateful for Leonard's care and very engaging messages and updates regarding The Best Boi Champers! We appreciate Leonard's experience with OG dogs, and it was clear that he was comfortable with caring for our special needs dog (needs meds, picky eater, health issues). Very communicative through the entire booking and that helped us feel very secure in our choice to book with him! 10/10, would book again.
Jett returned to stay with Len for a long weekend while I was out of town, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for his come-back stay! Len sent thoughtful updates and photos throughout Jett’s stay, which gave me peace of mind. It was clear that Jett had an amazing time - I loved seeing photos of him hiking, exercising, playing, and relaxing in his favorite sunny spot. He came home happily tired and sleepy, which is always a sign that he was well cared for and had plenty of activity! After getting dirty from hiking and rolling in the dirt, Len even gave Jett a bath using hypoallergenic dog shampoo, which I genuinely appreciated. Jett came home both exhausted and clean! Thank you so much again, Len, for taking such wonderful care of Jett. I highly recommend Len and would absolutely have Jett stay with him again!
I needed a last minute booking and Len came through for us! Len was super responsive, friendly, and Jett took to him quickly. I appreciated the daily updates of Jett including the photos which put me at ease while Jett was away from me. My fav pic was of Jett smiling- I could tell he was cared for! I highly recommend and would definitely book again. Thanks so much Len!!

Schedule
I work part time from home and have a very flexible schedule. I would only accept jobs that I’m certain I can attend to that accommodate my schedule.

I live in a community building with security staff 24 hours, it’s very dog friendly. There are special accommodations for dogs, such as a fenced in area for dogs.
