I work from home during the week, and love the chance to get away from my computer to drop in on cats and dogs and/or get some dogwalking in. When hosting at my place for daycare and boarding, we have a large fenced-in backyard that’s perfect for fetch and playtime. I also provide walks for my dog as well as any dogs we’re hosting for stays! Because of my schedule, I am able to accommodate weeklong boarding or longer.

We keep a tidy home with pet-safe cleaning products. It’s important to us that our boarding/daycare clients feel at home - dogs are welcome on the furniture and to sleep in bed. We minimize time spent away from the home while hosting and ensure that there is nothing for pups to get into while we’re away. Additionally, I will request a detailed description of any conditions your pet has, what to look out for, and ensure I have all necessary emergency contact information. For cat/dog drop-ins, I will ask about the routine requested (feeding, playtime, etc.) and follow your instructions exactly. For feline friends, let me know if your cat is friendly or if they're more of a watch and see what happens type of kitty. For pup friends, I am able to accommodate short walks during the drop-in. For walks, I will use the walking apparatus and any special direction you provide (amount of give on leash, for example). I will also ask about your dog's particular behaviors to ensure a smooth walking experience. I'm 5'11" and athletic and comfortable with walking larger dogs.

Depending on your location and your dogs' preferred activities - I will adjust my plans! If your dog is energetic, I would love to take them for walks, hikes, swims, or to play fetch! I am a runner, so happy to take any particularly high energy dogs for runs. We live in a single family house with a large fenced yard. I provide frequent walks and potty breaks for my dog, and will provide the same for any dogs staying with us. We live near Harvard Gulch and take several long walks a day. We also are familiar and friends with lots of dogs in the area - ensuring proper socialization opportunities if applicable and also ensuring to avoid dogs that may be triggering for your furbaby. If your dog is more of a couch potato, I'm more than happy to stay around the house and lounge. We allow pets on the furniture in our home including sleeping in bed. I'll make sure your pups get plenty of cuddles!

**For safety reasons, I only accept same day requests for dogs and cats I have met before** If you’re looking for a responsible and loving companion for your pet while you’re away, you have come to the right place! I've loved and had animals my whole life. At this point in my career and furbaby experiences, I am comfortable with positive reinforcement training with a variety of breeds and energy levels. Beyond training, I have had and served lots of special needs animals. We had an adorable but unfortunately very sick kitty who passed in fall of 2024 who was diagnosed with HCM, anxiety, FLUTD, and persistent bladder stones. Because of my extensive personal experience in petcare, I'm comfortable taking care of pets of all ages, needs, and energy levels. We currently have a sweet, energetic 1 year old supermutt who loves to host friendly pups at our house.

Maple had a great weekend with Lauren and Maggie! Lots of walks and playtime. We received regular updates and pictures, and Lauren is always quick to respond. We appreciated that they tried to get out early for walks on hot summer days.
Our dog Adley loves staying and playing with Lauren and Maggie! We know he is in the best hands, and he gets his own mini vacation when we are away!
Lauren was great! She was caring and helpful and gave great routine updates. Our boys had a blast during their stay!
