I generally only take new pets when I am off work during the summer for teaching. If I do happen to take pets while I am working it is only previous clients, and I work a schedule of 7am-3pm and as long as your dog fits within that schedule (and is reasonably located), I can accommodate re-bookings during the school year.

If my home I have secure fencing around the yard, but I only take sighthound clients in the home (please message me if that is you). Otherwise I will follow your directions as far as safety and care. I have flighty sighthounds and I fully understand keeping them safe!
Information Lauren J. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if the dog has any aggressive tendencies towards people or dogs, if the dog has any resource guarding problems, any medical conditions, and any quirks like fence jumping. If walks are required, please let me know if the dog is a puller or has any quirks because I can only accept up to about 60lbs if the dog will pull on a lead for their safety and mine! I can only accept up to around 65lbs for boarding/daycare visits for the safety of my own smaller dogs.
A typical day
Dogs have access to 2+ acres of fenced running room with a creek and lots of trees when they stay with me! It's like going hiking, but completely safe as long as they don't jump 6ft fences. My dogs can also play with your dog if they’re friendly or can be kept separate if needed. I also have some happy playful Salukis that would love to play with your dog (if you want them to).

I have owned dogs for 20 years and have been involved seriously in the show dog world for the last 10 years. I can host intact animals and in heat bitches safely as well. I am capable of keeping visitor dogs separate from my dogs if needed or they can interact with some of them. I groom my own dogs and can do some light grooming with cooperative dogs; I did a grooming internship one summer when I was off during teaching. I keep a pack of show Salukis at my house and have experience with several other breeds. I have significant hound and sighthound experience. I owned dachshunds previously and own salukis now. I am a dedicated sitter and will only take one client at a time in my house so I can focus on your dog!

Lauren did a great job with her drop ins on my elderly cat! She was flexible with some date changes, always gave regular updates on her and made sure things were kept tidy. I highly recommend her.
Highly recommended for a drop-in visit! Lauren was able to stop by on short notice to let all 4 dogs out and feed them. She was really flexible and sent updates and photos.
Lauren did a wonderful job checking on our cats! And we paid her extra to water our garden and plants while we were gone too! She sent us pictures and updates daily! Would definitely recommend Lauren!
Lauren did a great job taking care of my 2 older dogs. She gave them meds, made sure my oldest one ate, and kept the diaper on him. She was reliable about coming to my house and staying overnight, and sent pics each day. I would definitely trust her to watch my dogs again!
