Pet care experience

A caring, experienced & mature animal lover

A born animal lover, been around cats & dogs all my life, I am now 43 and have a cat but adore dogs more (love my cat obviously) but as a freeholder I am not allowed to have 1 long term in my building even though I own the flat and have a garden. I loving walking and taking your dog out will be a pleasure for me. I am very responsible and you can rely on there never being an issue and your furry friend getting the love, empathy and exercise it needs!

I can highly recommend Laura as a responsible and caring pet sitter. When I drop off Biscuit, my ginger tom cat, he's so excited to see her and ignores me when I leave, Typical !

I have known Laura for a very long time. She used to have a dog and has had cats all her life. A real animal lover! She loves giving them that extra care and attention and thoroughly enjoys taking them for a good walk! When dog/house sitting, she is neat, tidy, respectful and trustworthy. She has looked after my dog many times over the last 11years, sometimes I wonder if my dog loves her more than me!!

I work from home and I have a cat, she is out most of the day and loves dogs but if your dog isn't a fan of cats then it won't work.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a caring, clean and safe environment and will look after your dog like they are my own. Lots of walks and love would be standard! The only reason I don't have a dog is that even though I own my flat and have a garden, the freehold contract between the 3 flats made me sign when I bought that I would only have a cat. So I am doing this because it makes up for not having my own!

Pets

A typical day

Morning: Sunrise Stroll: Begin the day with a peaceful sunrise stroll in a nearby park or nature reserve. Let the dog explore new scents and enjoy the morning breeze. Puppy Playdate: Arrange a playdate with a friendly dog friend if possible. This could be at a local dog park or even in your backyard. Dogs love socialising and playing with their furry pals. Late Morning: Interactive Toy Time: Engage the dog in some interactive play with toys. Whether it's a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek with treats, this is a great way to stimulate their mind and keep them active. Afternoon: Pampering Session: Treat the dog to a pampering session. Brush their coat, give them a gentle bath if needed, and perhaps even introduce them to a dog-friendly massage. Late Afternoon: Scenic Walk: Take a scenic evening walk as the sun begins to set. This is a great way to wind down the day and enjoy some peaceful moments together. Cuddles and Movie Night: End the day with some quality cuddle time and a dog-friendly movie or show. Create a cosy spot with their favourite blanket and toys for a relaxing evening.

Behaviour problems, do they need a mussel or can they not be let off the lead? If a dog is unreliable off the lead, I would rather keep them on the lead at all times and equally take no risks if they bite other dogs or people! I need to know if the dog is of this type of mentality, in which case they will not be let off the lead to hurt anyone or any other dog as this is not fair on me or the dog. Please be aware that my rate is for a day this is from 8-5pm but I am flexible with start and end times but the rate is for no longer than 9 hours, if the visit is shorter no discount will be given. If you require longer, then an extra fee will be discussed prior to booking, equally If you require an earlier start than 8am this can be discussed in advance and depending on the situation and if an earlier collection is arranged then there will not be an additional charge.
