I strive to provide warmth, mental and physical exercise, and great care for the pets I look after. I consider the safety of your pet to be the highest priority, and I will take all precautions necessary to keep your pet safe while you are away. This includes keeping a close eye on them to ensure that they are not chewing on inappropriate things (furniture, shoes, etc.), eating irregularly, or experiencing any discomfort aside from missing Mom/Dad. I will contact you immediately regarding any concerning behaviors. Obviously, all dogs will be leashed when in public areas, and I will scoop all poo messes into a doggy doodoo bag. If you have a yard with a fence or enough space indoors, your dog and I will utilize that space for play! If you have a kitty who needs a scratch behind the ears, a bit of play with a jingly ball, a fresh litterbox, and a refill of food/water, I'm happy to look in on them, too! I'd be glad to feed your hamster and/or fish and water any plants you might be worried about while you're away, as well. You can expect pictures and regular updates on your pet's well-being as part of my service!

If your pet is on medication(s), please provide all of the necessary information to administer it (i.e. what time to administer, what dose, with or without food, etc.). Again, the health and safety of your pet is the absolute highest priority. If your pet has any allergies, a sensitive stomach, simply follows a strict diet, or is food aggressive in any way, please let me know in advance! I enjoy giving treats to the animals I look after, and feel that it helps them to accept the stranger in their home - but I will gladly leave the treats behind to reduce the risk of an accident! If your dog weighs more than 35lbs, I do ask that you provide a harness for walks. I’d like to be safe and prepared, in the event that your pup gets excited by a stray squirrel, another dog, or a human out for a stroll. If your dog is a senior, please let me know about his/her needs. If diapers are required, please make sure to provide them. If indoor accidents occur, I will do my best to clear away any mess with provided cleaning supplies (pet carpet cleaner, paper towels, disinfectant, etc.). It'd be helpful if you could provide a typical schedule for your dog(s), toys he/she/they prefer to play with, and what activities they enjoy the most. Ideally, I'd like everything to be as close to normal for your pet as possible, keeping them in a safe, familiar place with all the things they like the best! If your pup plays well with others, I'd be thrilled to bring my dog-friendly fur babies along for some added exercise, play, and animal interaction! If your dog does not play well with other dogs, no problem - just be sure to mention it! Finally, please let me know about any concerns YOU may have. No one knows your furry best friend better than you, and every animal is different. If there’s a way for me to help your pet be happier, healthier, and more comfortable while in my care, I absolutely want to hear about it!
Ein typischer Tag
At my house, we have a fenced in tennis court not too far away where I like to take my dogs to play ball, run around, and smell new things. If you have someplace similar near your house, like a park or a familiar walking trail, your pup and I will venture toward it and tire ourselves out! If your dog has a special place he/she likes to play or go potty, let me know and we'll be sure to visit.

I’ve been taking care of dogs (all kinds of breeds and temperaments) in my house since I was a kid, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Currently, I have four in my home (two small dogs - a chihuahua mix and a pug mix, one medium-sized dog - a blue heeler mix, plus a very stubborn, 45lb hound mix) and every day they make my life better. They are all trained to 'sit,' to ‘stay’ for breakfast/dinner until I release them from the command, and they are also trained to ‘paw’ and ‘be gentle’ when taking a treat from my hand. Friends have depended on me to look after their dogs - German shepherd mix, pit bull mix, etc. - and their cats while they were on vacation, and were always happy with the health and happiness of their babies when they returned. I always measure food for meals when instructed, keep the water bowls full, exercise the dogs, and give all of them lots of love and attention to hold them over until their hoomans come home!

Laiken did a great job with our two dogs. They seemed happy and content when we return home from work!
Laiken has truly been wonderful for my dog and I. He is a puppy, and trying to learn a routine and schedule and she has gone above and beyond to help me. I work night shift and she helps make it work for me. I truly have found i can trust her in my home and with my dog. She updates me with everything she does with him. I will be continuing to have her hang out with my dog as long as she will be available to. I would recommend her to anyone.
Laiken took care of my dogs when I called her last minute for her help. They were very prompt and sent me lots of updates on how my dogs were doing. Will definitely use again!
