As an attentive & detail-oriented dog mom myself, I’d like to know about their feeding and walking routines, health, temperament, socialization with other animals and people (including children), bite history, habits, and any other issues that would enable me to provide the very best care possible. It is very important that you’re forthcoming with me about your dog’s reactivity to other dogs or people (particularly strangers), even if you do not view their behavior as aggressive, so I can avoid potential problems and keep everyone safe. When sending a house sitting request – please include the specific times you’d need me to arrive the first day and stay until the last day, as well as your cross streets, to help map out travel times. Note: I will not restrict water intake and as such, will not sit pets who are not allowed free access to water. I would rather take them out to potty more frequently, and at all hours of the night (and am happy to do so!), than restrict water access to minimize peeing indoors – this practice is just dangerous and cruel.

Depending on your pup’s mood, I’ll guide them on leisurely or active walks through your neighborhood, nearby parks, or along the water, and keep watch while they sniff around to their heart’s content. If I have any pup-friendly errands to run while house sitting, of course I’ll take them with me! Back at home, I’m all about mental stimulation – all the tug-of-war, fetch, and puzzle games your pup wants, with lots of cuddling in between. For kitties, I will allow them to warm up to me in their own time (I know better than to force it). For those pets who are used to sleeping in your bed, I love snuggles but will (of course!) follow your care instructions to the letter.
