Currently, pet care is my full time gig. Even as I type this, I have a 'Pup-burrito' snoring on my bed while his mum is out at work. My usual gigs have been in homes where the pet is used to having their territory to themselves. Once they feel safe with me, I usually become their pillow day and night. The benefit for me has been paramount, not just for the ability to house and feed myself, but in taking care of my health. Pets have been fundamental in my ability to succeed on a daily basis, so if a mistake or issue arises, I consider it most important to handle patiently and professionally. After all, these are your children, and creatures with a mind of their own! The best advice I've ever had in this industry is to remain calm, and that seems to be the key link for getting your pet to be comfortable.

Due to restrictions of my housing lease and roommate agreements, I do not offer services directly out of my home. I've found this is best, since my services should be offered in a space your pet does not see as foreign. Whether I'm their caretaker overnight or just shooting the breeze with the squirrels in the park, I approach your pet's home as though a guest visiting a sacred space. I am there to ensure poised behavior while spoiling your furball, so I take up minimal space while there: after all, the primary focus is your pet! This line of work fills a hole of not having a fur child of my own, as well as fulfilling my own needs as a social being: brings a change of scenery, meeting new people and places, and a chance to decompress and relax with a bundle of boop-able toe beans. There's a reason I am the favorite guncle, so let your pet rave about how much they love me when you return by booking with me!

First off, I always prefer doing a meet'n'greet before accepting new clients. This is to ease your nerves as well as your pet's preparation for a change in their routines. This also provides me a chance to see the pet in their natural environment and determine how best I can assist them moving forward. These are complementary to my fees, unless distance is extensive (I will let you know upon arranging this). If your pet has any behavioral or medical requirements, please inform me immediately. I am willing to learn new skills and don't always advertise all the experience I have due to the nature of pet's individuality. All I ask for is the heads up so I can prepare ahead of time if necessary. A new rule has come into play due to the upswing of crime: I only serve pets that are certified through this app and through a meet'n'greet. Ensuring up-to-date photos and descriptions, as well as full transparency in rare occasions is a great way to start. Also, recommendations are definitely helpful from reliable sources.

This truly depends on your pet's unique needs, desires, & routines, not to mention times and locations. So here's a few common experiences: - You have a potato for a pet? We spend the time curled up binging on television and cuddling. - Is your furball an athlete? Awesome, out for backyard adventures and long walks or hikes. - Nah, they are more finicky and recluse? I adapt to their needs and pay attention for behavioral cues (i.e. perhaps not the dog park, maybe some stimulating training sessions). - Quirky diva or fashionista? You got that goofball, I got a phone with a camera. I tend to enjoy trying to get them in the moment of their silly charades for you as well as for memories for me. - Aggression or not into dudes? I have experience here, and some tender stories of that. We can ease into this with a meet'n'greet and see how they respond. I only book once all parties feel comfortable and safe. - It is all about food. Period? I do limit treat intake to only hyper good behaviors & training scenarios. So if food is the only way to get them to respond, I will also pay attention for other behavioral cues and strategies to test out as we develop a report.

Your furchild already loves me!
Erfahrung in der Haustierbetreuung
Consider me the Guncle while you're away! Your furchild will most likely leave barking. Don't believe me? I've adopted a few furkids of my own throughout my life; I've volunteered with Best Friends Animal Society; and best of all: I have an ample library of resources a phone call away should god-forbid something happen that requires knowledge to medical care and rescue services. I moved to LA in 2019, inheriting and immediately falling in love with my sister's pet-sitting gigs around the greater LA area while she has expanded her profession of 15 years in the animal welfare and rescue industry. I benefit from that in having people around LA I can contact in an emergency, as well as quick calls to vets for assistance should I need it. In short, your pet is in good paws! I also have a background in psychology, which I've found very useful and necessary in behavioral training of pets. I'm fond of clicker training and classical conditioning, and have found my intense patience and consistent response to animal's antics helps them maintain structure while you are away. *** Offering discounts for summer months (June-August)!!! Kevin was incredibly irresponsible and left a door open and our cat got out. He originally told us it was 930 when this happened, then it was 9. We checked the security footage and it was 640pm. Why would you lie about this.

We recently had the pleasure of having Kevin watch our dogs for 10 days while we were in Italy, and he was simply outstanding! From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our pups and home were in such capable hands. Kevin took incredible care of our dogs, who are not the easiest to manage. He followed our instructions perfectly and clearly formed a bond with them—they absolutely loved him! It was heartwarming to come home to happy, well-cared-for pups. Beyond dog sitting, Kevin went above and beyond in maintaining our home. He took care of things like replacing batteries in our fire alarms, taking out the trash, and even left the house cleaner than we left it. His attention to detail and proactive approach were truly impressive. We appreciated the regular updates and photos he sent, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and dedicated to caring for your pets and home, we can’t recommend Kevin highly enough!
Kevin is simply awesome! I think Dolly 🐶 and Rico 😻love him more than me! He has house and animal sat for me on many occasions. Not only does he take great care of my furry kids, but he also takes excellent care of my home! While traveling internationally, my water heater blew. Kevin stayed cool, calm and collected. Did a bunch of research and tried a few simple fixes before calling me with the news. With Kevin‘s help, I was able to get a new water heater installed within 24 hours. I know not something you’d expect in a dog walking review, but I was so impressed with how he handled himself I would be remiss not to mention it. Kevin gets 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and all of our thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Kevin is the ultimate dog lover. Your pets cannot be in better hands. He's reliable and kind and made sure our elderly dogs were always safe and loved.
