I've always been an animal person. That's why I became a wildlife biologist. I've had pets for as long as I've been alive and that love has followed me into my personal and professional life. I currently am the mom of two very spoiled kitties and am friends with any and all dogs I meet. Most of my experience is with small- to large-sized dogs, but I can be comfortable with extra-large dogs with a little guidance from their owners. I don't mind a giant dog sitting on me (because he thinks he's a lap dog) but I would prefer not to be dragged down the street when he sees a squirrel! I am comfortable with non-mammalian pets as well (so I won't faint at your kid's pet corn snake or bearded dragon). I have limited experience with birds and fish, but if you show me what needs doing, it shouldn't be a problem. My work requires me to follow strict protocols for the health and safety of the animals I interact with -- so I will be able to follow a detailed regimen for animals that need more assistance. If there's something specific that your dog needs, such as medication, training exercises, or dietary restrictions, just let me know! I am friendly and outgoing, but I also have a calm demeanor that animals seem to respond well to. I am very happy to meet your pet and give them the care they deserve!
