Helpful information includes feeding schedules, favorite toys and activities, any medications or health concerns, and how they typically interact with new people. For cats, it's especially helpful to know if they are shy, anxious, prone to hiding, or have any behaviors I should be aware of. I also like to know their favorite treats, play styles, and any household rules you'd like followed. The more I know about your pet's habits and preferences, the better I can provide a comfortable, stress free experience that keeps them happy and maintains the routine they're used to while you're away!

A typical day starts with checking in on your pet, making sure they have fresh food and water, and spending quality time together. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure while you're away. For cats, fun activities can include interactive play with wand toys, laser pointers, balls, puzzle toys, or whatever their favorite games happen to be. For more relaxed cats, I enjoy spending time brushing them, giving affection (if they enjoy it), and simply providing companionship. I also make sure they have opportunities for mental stimulation and enrichment throughout the visit. Every pet is different, so I adjust activities based on their age, energy level, personality, and preferences. Whether your pet loves active playtime or prefers a calm lap companion, my goal is to keep them happy, engaged, and comfortable while maintaining the routine they're used to at home.
