Safety, trust & environment

For dog walking and drop in visits, I prefer to meet in their home environment for a short visit to get to know them. For dog boarding, I have two friendly and well socialized, crate trained dogs and two cats. My home is "puppy-proofed", but I would appreciate knowing if your pet has any behavior risk areas that we can plan for. My cats are separated into another space of my home that dogs will not have access to. Your dog will be supervised at all times when I am home and separated in different areas or their crate (if they're crate trained) when I am not home. Let’s schedule a meet and greet with our dogs to meet yours to make sure we are a good fit for all!

Information Kathryn W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know allllll about your pup and their quirks including any special needs or behavior I need to account for! Every dog is unique and that will be respected while in my care.

A typical day

For dog boarding, pet care will be provided alongside my pups, but personalized to your dog's unique needs. I walk my puppy daily and have a large fenced in yard available for your dog to run and play as much as they need. Shorter walks typically take place in my neighborhood, but I love to go to various parks and stores with dogs to aide in their mental stimulation and socialization needs if this is something you are looking for! I would also prioritize this for dog walking. I love getting out with pups to familiar places for them or a new place for new sniffs and socialization opportunities. For drop-in visits, in addition to endless love, enrichment activities (snuffle mats, puzzle toys, kongs, games, etc) will be provided to ensure that your dog’s mental needs are met. Enrichment activities are helpful to address any potential boredom or anxiety that they may have while you’re away. They are just as important as physical exercise. If it is nice outside, we will be outside as much as possible, so your dog can get that much needed physical exercise too.

Pet care experience

Introducing… Freida’s Adventures and More!! I’m all about giving pups the best days possible, with lots of love, fun, and just enough enrichment activity to make sure they’re happily tired by bedtime. Dogs bring so much joy into our lives, and I love giving that right back to them. I’ve been a dog mom pretty much my whole life and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for over 15 years. Whether we’re taking a casual walk, hanging out for belly rubs, or working on helping a reactive pup feel more confident, I bring patience, kindness, and a good sense of humor every time. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Right now I’m raising a Rottweiler puppy named Freida (my big goofy sidekick) along with our rescue mix, Fenny. I also have experience with reactive pups, senior dogs, and dogs who need meds or a little extra support. My background in social services as a case manager helps me stay calm and communicative, even when pups (or their humans!) are feeling a little anxious. I really value the trust pet parents put in me and love working together to make sure their dog feels safe, loved, and understood. If you’re looking for someone who’ll treat your dog like family… I’m your person! :)

Zazu had an absolute blast with Kathryn and her gang of pups! Very good with updates and pictures during the stay, takes the whole dog gang for walks sometimes, would absolutely recommend.

Kathryn was responsive and had no problem with my specific requests! I have a skittish rescue and she made sure to give both pups time and attention and keep them safe and sound while we were out of town. As an anxious pet parent I appreciate it!

Kathryn did such an amazing job with our 2 dogs while we were on vacation. We didn’t have to worry about a thing while we were gone. Kathryn updates us daily with pictures and videos of our pups playing with her dogs, so we had peace of mind that they were having a good time. It was a huge benefit that she offered pick-up and drop-off and was even flexible and doing each at different locations to accommodate us. We will definitely be booking a stay for our pups with Kathryn again in the future!
