Friend To All Dogs!
Hi, I'm Katharine! I am from LA, having lived in NYC for a few years, but now I'm back and living in Mid City. I work from home so I have tons of availability and flexibility, and offer lots of time and attention to your pet. I am also a full-time student so my schedule changes every semester, and I may be away from home for a few hours a day for classes. In my free time I like to go to concerts, dinner with friends, ride my bike, and hang in the park. I grew up with large dogs (German Shepherds) and absolutely love large breeds, but being on Rover for several years now has given me an appreciation for all breeds and sizes. Behaviors I do well with: House-trained dogs Dogs that love to snuggle Low-to-medium-energy dogs Dogs that can sleep until 8:00 AM Dogs that can sleep independently (crated, on the floor/couch, in bed with me but not needing to be touching during sleep) Dogs that follow commands. Teach me their commands and I will practice with them. Behaviors I do not do well with: Dogs with extreme separation anxiety (I understand dogs have really been affected by the pandemic. If your dog has separation anxiety, please be upfront about this and we can discuss) Dogs that need to expel a lot of energy during the day (this is because I am in school full-time and working part-time, so I am home quite a bit but I don't have a lot of openings in my schedule for walks beyond 30 minutes) As a sitter, I always do my best to keep your dog on the routine it is most accustomed to, and that includes things like bedtime, feeding and walk times, and I am always sure to keep them engaged with lots of play and enrichment. Overall, I like to listen to you and your dog and go at their pace! **NOTE FOR AUGUST 28-DEC 20 2025** My Fall school schedule will require me to be out of the house from 12pm-9pm on WEDNESDAYS only. Please message me if your booking request will include a Wednesday and we can discuss feeding/walking schedule as I do have breaks between classes and can return home to drop in as needed. Regulars/Repeat Customers: I may close my books periodically due to my school schedule. Please reach out if you'd like to book and you see that I am not available in the calendar!

We chose Katherine to take care of our Lab because from other reviews we could see she was a caring and attentive sitter. That turned out to be our experience as well. She went out of her way to be sure our dog would be comfortable and also good re her daily routine and needs. She was also very helpful re our pickup, and just overall easy to work with. We wouldn't hesitate having her keep our girl again!

Programa
I work part-time and am in school so I have lots of time to spend with your dog. I take breaks throughout the day for walks or pets and attention. While in my home, your dog is my priority. It is always my goal to provide a safe, cozy, loving environment for your dog. My schedule is pretty flexible, but I do take classes in-person on campus at Cal State University-Los Angeles, so I am out of the home a few hours a day, a few days a week in a typical semester.

I’ve sat dogs with special needs, elderly dogs, and puppies. Each dog has its own care needs so I just take my instructions from the parent and follow them closely.
Un día normal
I love to walk dogs in parks or around my neighborhood, or play a game of fetch in my fenced-in backyard. Many dogs also enjoy a game of fetch down my long hallway. I take cues from the dog parent, so whatever they like, I will do!
