I met Katelyn from The Humane Educational Society animal shelter. We both are volunteers, and we both love it. I’ve also had the honor to watch her animals in the past. She is a wonderful human being that fills her time teaching, and being with her two beautiful dogs whom adore her. When she is not with her dogs, she is sharing her big heart at the shelter, providing dog walks and love to the much needing animals there. She is a huge asset to the volunteer program especially because she is apart of the behavioral team. She works with some of the more challenging dogs, working on getting them adoptable. Katelyn has years of experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, her skills are very impressive. If that hasn’t painted a picture of how great her character is, she also fosters dogs in her home from time to time. I’ve seen her help the most scared timid dogs and help transition them into trusting, playful loving ones. I don’t go on vacations much, but if I did she would be the one I trust to care for my animals.

My dog, Bear, is very anxious and not easily cared for. Katelyn has years of experience volunteering at HES and dealing with difficult dogs so I have had no hesitation having her care for him. She is warm and relaxed with him and he quickly establishes himself on her lap. Her huge, fenced in back yard is perfect for playing with her two small dogs who easily share the space and their mom. Katelyn has taken care of Bear numerous time and each time I take him there, he is eager to get inside and start his visit. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
