Hello my name is Kali. I offer overnight boarding and also partial or full days of doggie day care for established clients. I live in Candler, NC few miles from exit 44 on I40 and Buncome Sports Park. It's just me and my mom at our home. I have 20 years working with shy and traumatized rescue dogs. At 40 years old I don't remember a time I didn't have dogs in my life. I have been pet sitting for friends, family, and referrals since I was 14 years old. I trained with David Street a trainer who specialized in reactive and behavioral dogs. I have done behavior assessments for rescues. I own my home and I have a job that has allowed me to work from home. It is wonderful getting to chill on couch with the dogs all day. I have 3 of my own dogs. My spring chicken is a 12 year old low rider Bassett Mix 40lbs adopted 10 years ago. Tucker is my 8 year old Belgium Malinois about 75lbs and ball obsessed and Harkin a 4 year old French Bulldog & Hound mix 50 lbs. Harkin loves to play ball and wrestle. I do keep multiple dogs at a time as long as I know each dogs personality and compatability. Safety and your dogs enjoying their stay with me is top priority. Dogs are all together in the house so making sure every boarder is dog friendly is important. I do have quiet spaces the dogs can go to anytime they want and rooms have gates if a pup needs a separate area. Feeding is always done one at a time with each dog behind a gate. If I do keep a dog and I don't feel I am the best fit I will tell you. I have a particular fondness for senior dogs. They deserve lots of pampering and attention which I enjoy giving. I understand how difficult it is to leave such a precious and valuable member of your family with a stranger. I ask that you and your fur pup to come visit me and see my home. I don't mind being interviewed so you can be sure you are making the best choice for your loved pet. I am pretty accommodating for most dogs needs. My main request from you is to be open with me about your pets needs. If I know their quirks and habits I can take better care of them and create a longer lasting pet sitter relationship for them. I am able to administer injections and also subQ fluids if needed. I have taken care of dogs with seizures and vestibular disorders. My goal is to build a lasting relationship with you and your pup. I am pretty flexible and try to always accommodate established clients. I am happy to discuss your pups needs and if I am a good fit for them.

Kali took amazing care of Maple and put our minds at ease as this was our first time boarding with Rover. Kali has a great system in place for the comfort and safety of every animal. You can tell how much she genuinely loves and cares for every pet in her care. We would absolutely rebook with her if we need to board Maple in the future and would recommend her to anyone. Kali was a great new sitter for us. She is experienced with older dogs and has a few herself. Mucca (our 13 year old dog) was relaxed and happy in his surroundings, and with her dogs. We will definitely use Kali again.
I will definitely bring my dog back here for boarding. He was taken care of very well!

Harmonogram
I work full time from home but have availability to give frequant walks and play time. My 2 boys are laid back and chill until it's times to play ball. They chase the ball multiple times a day. They also love wrestling and tug of war. Let outs are every few hours with a stroll around yard. Some days I work from patio and the dogs can get their sunbathing time in. I am a home body, my perfect day is chilling with my dog while hanging out at home.

For established clients I can do pickup and drop off, schedule permitting. I have separate areas in my home and crates so dogs can have quiet time, separate feeding area, and a place to go if they want to be alone. Dogs are welcome on bed and furniture. Goal is everyone to be free to roam the home but if needed I have dog gates to separate areas of my home.

My 2 boys love their ball play time. Harkin knows when I spell ball. Harkin loves wrestling in the house and Tucker indulges him. We play ball multiple times during day between snuggling and cuddling. I take my boys to arboretum for walks and playing in water. For dogs that do well on long line I have a 75ft cable (150lb weight limit) they can explore on and always under supervision and on halter only. Lots of fetch time if they like balls. We go for rides and visit places such as home depot for social outings.

- Some form of flea prevention is required in summer months. Proof of rabies is required (by law) and I acknowledge titter testing as proof of vaccine history except for rabies. This is especially inportant if your pup goes to public places like dog parks or day care. If you don't vaccine I am willing to discuss stay but I will not keep other dogs during your dogs stay. I have worked with lots of dogs with issues and I am not phased by much so just be honest if your pet has any issues.
