Hello :) Growing up in a house that had 1 dog, 1 cat, 11 parakeets and 1 rat, I have spent the majority of my life around pets and have seen it all. With so much time around animals, I have grown to appreciate the unique personalities pets can have and cherish the special relationships and connections we can foster with them. While cats are my favorite kind of pet, and really enjoy staying at home curled with a book with a trusty feline by my side, I have grown to enjoy the loyalty and playfulness of dogs, whether it be playing together with toys at home, playing fetch at the park or going for runs and walks together, I feel happiest when I have a furry companion by my side. Between driving across the country with all 14 pets and caring for everything from Lineolated Parakeets Bearded Dragons and Tarantulas to Corn Snakes and 60lb standard poodles, I have lots of experience caring for a variety of needs in terms of attention and space in addition to feeding care protocols. If your pets are strictly carnivores, need live food, from mice to cockroaches, I have the experience and comfort to take care of them. Besides my love of school my second love has always been animals and I cherish any opportunity I get to spend time with them. I sincerely hope I can make new friends with your animal family members soon!

With my background in pet care, which ranges from lizards, dogs and cats to birds, I have found that the key in creating a safe and comfortable environment for any pet, is approaching them with understanding and listening at the fore. Species may generally act similarly, but I find that giving pets the chance to make the first move in terms of connecting is the best way to gain trust and make them feel safe and comfortable. Once some basic familiarity and a base level of comfort has been created, I like to see how they like to play and give them a good bit of fun right off the bat, before we start winding down and co-habit the space together. This gives them a positive association with me, and gets rid of some of that fun loving energy (hopefully). From there, it's all about keeping a close enough eye on them to make sure they are having a nice enjoyable time, while not overcrowding them in their own space.

Julien was very responsive and responsible and took great care of my Maple boy.
Julien was the ideal cat sitter! He was quick and clear with communication, sent updates as requested so I knew my kitty—Beni—was well taken care of, and was flexible and accommodating when my travel plans got changed unexpectedly. He also seemed to bond with Beni over a short time period— I would definitely recommend Julien to a friend!
I am so relieved to know that I can count on Julien when I have to travel for work or go on vacation. It is so nice to leave my pets at home and have piece of mind knowing that both my pets and my house will be in excellent hands. Julien is very responsible, sends me updates and pictures of my pets. And most important my dogs love him!
Julien is an incredibly caring and diligent pet sitter! He's taken care of my cat Menace several times, ranging from a few days to nearly a month. Even though Menace can be snippy with unfamiliar people, he got along great with Julien from the start and I always come back to a happy and well-entertained cat. Julien is one of those people who truly 'gets' animals, and they seem to love him back! He's also friendly and communicative with people - just a pleasant experience overall. I highly recommend him and will continue to trust him to care for Menace in the future.
Julien has done a great job of taking care of my pets over the past years feeding and caring of frogs, bearded dragons and the biggest challenge my Standard Poodle Pepper. He is a punctual, responsible caring individual.
Julien has taken care of my cat Jingles on several occasions both short and long. He is a loving pet sitter to our Jingles and likes to cuddle and play with Jingles even if we just ask him to pop in for a feeding. He was even attentive enough to let us know when Jingle's grooming behaviour changed due to us leaving to go on a trip. Would recommend!

Harmonogram
Weekdays I am at school and work from 10am to 5:30pm but am available for overnight sitting, preferably in the UES or BK. On the weekends, I am much more open, barring a few weekly errands and chores that set me up for the following week. My schedule makes overnight sitting the most optimal form of care for me, as I can bring my books and a pack of clothes anywhere and still stay productive and on time with my deadlines. Weekends, give me the time to do all that and more, and there's nothing better than a nice walk in Prospect Park with a trusty friend at my side. Managing my work and school has made me extremely diligent when it comes to time management and communication and I have taken these skills over to my work as a pet sitter. I place an immense value on clear and responsive communication as well as punctuality. When booking with me I can guarantee that I will arrive on time, and keep you updated as needed throughout my time with your pets. Ensuring your peace of mind and your pet's safety and wellbeing are imperatives that I take satisfaction in fulfilling.
