Your fur baby's second home
My husband, Cris, and I are an animal-loving couple who enjoy being around cats and dogs and treat them with the care and love they deserve. We've both been around animals ever since we were children, and enjoy spending time with them. We grew up with animals and understand how to look after them and provide the attention they need. In our care, your dog will: - get plenty of exercise - be cuddled, played with and just a little bit spoiled - have appropriate supervision at all times (we both work from home, alternating days) - if necessary, be given all their prescribed medication on time - be bathed / cleaned when needed We'll also make sure to keep you up to date with photos of what your dog is up to. We're equally happy to look after cats. However, we prefer to care for indoor cats, and we will only take your cat outside if they're used to wearing a harness, to ensure they don't get lost or injured and they don't harm the wildlife. If you're considering leaving your dog or cat with us, why not come meet us first, to assess if we'd be a good fit for your fur baby? If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Update - April 2024: Cris and I are very excited to be getting our own puppy. Juniper will arrive home at the end of May, and she'll no doubt keep us on our toes. This means that we won't be looking after any other dogs until she settles in, probably until the end of the summer. We will continue to dog sit afterwards, but we will only be able to look after neutered dogs who are comfortable around puppies. ( Of course, I fully expect Juniper to be an exemplary puppy, and a model of obedience, gentleness and grace...but just in case. 😎

I can't recommend Julia and Chris enough. My dog is literally an extension of me and they could not have been more caring and loving towards him. Daily updates and lots of pictures. They made sure they knew everything about his, his habits, behaviours and feeding routines. Made sure they were aware of his likes and dislikes. These small things just make all the difference. I have always said 'your house your rules' but please stick to my schedule. So feeding times stay pretty much the same wherever he goes. It's makes it easier for him too ? These two are an absolute asset to the community of dog lovers and boarders. Thank you both, over and again

Schedule
Cris and I work from home on alternating days, which means someone is always in the house. We generally take dogs out for walks in the morning, at lunchtime, and after work. They are free to go into the garden at all other times.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a secure (gated) small garden, with fences on all sides. We do not have a flap (so dogs would only be let out by one of us and supervised while outside). We do not leave dogs alone for more than 1-2h (for example, if we need to go shopping).
Pets
A typical day
During the working week, my husband and I work from home (Mon-Thurs), so we'd take the dog for a walk in the morning and at lunchtime. After work (around 6pm), we will go for a longer walk in the nearby park, where we'll play, run, and smell every single leaf we find (I'm sure). On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, we'd go for longer walks, run around, play, and, of course, cuddle as often as possible. We might even try to do some yoga together... (that can be a hit or miss with dogs!)
