For most of my childhood, I would spend time on my dad’s ranch over summer vacation, where he would host the neighborhood’s stray dogs and cats. Later, my first job was my apartment building’s dog walker and sitter. In Miami, I’ve volunteered at the MD shelter where I take the shelter dogs out on a fun date. This usually included walking around town, visiting some dog parks, and maybe popping into cafes depending on their personality I have recently adopted a cuddly orange cat who loves attention. But I also have experience with cats who want nothing to do with me. To share a bit about myself: In college, I studied behavioral biology, mainly learning about animal behaviors. Now, I’m in medical school learning how to take care of other humans!
