Work-from-home dachshund daddy
Hey there - I’m Jon! I work from home in a peaceful environment with no kids or roommates. I’m 30 years old, and have been responsible for 2 dogs, Sadie and Rupert, throughout about half of my life. Sadie, a female Labrador, was an amazing family friend. She was my childhood dog, and I brought her to college with me, where she kept me company during all my studies. Sadly, she passed a few years ago. Rupert, a male Dachshund, came about when my neighbor needed a dog sitter. Eventually, my neighbor could no longer take care of him, so I offered to take care of him. Rupert is 8 now, and is my best friend. He has had a couple of surgeries and injuries, and I’ve nursed him through those hard times. He is doing better than ever, and I love him more and more every day. I will treat your pet like they are my own! I can also run with your dog! Rupert is very social and absolutely loves to interact with other dogs. Part of the reason I’m on this app is simply to help him find friends! About me: I am a very strong communicator, e.g. I will respond to messages within 30 minutes. I am also a rule-follower, so I will follow your instructions and treat this like a real job. I am super flexible and will do pretty much anything you ask me to do within reason. Jon offered a meet and greet before our visit where Mia got along with his dog Rupert. I dropped her off for her doggy daycare and she was so excited at drop off. When I picked her up I could see she had a blast and she was a little worn out. I received pictures of her stay and feel this is a great fit for her doggy daycare visits.

Jon was absolutely fantastic. He took on quite a task of taking care of our cat and our large dog while we had to be away for nearly two weeks. He was quick to respond to messages and posted regular updates of how they were doing. We left Jon with quite a long list of specific instructions on the routines for both animals, especially for our dog who can be quite anxious and very reliant on a regular schedule. Upon our return, we could see that both animals were happy and well taken care of and were perfectly happy and healthy. In addition to taking care of our pets, Jon was an excellent steward of our home while we were away. Upon our arrival, the house was perfectly clean with sheets and towels washed, dishes put away, and general up-keep and cleanliness routines had clearly been maintained. On top of all of that, Jon went above and beyond when some unexpected issues arose with our irrigation system where he had to assist in spotting a leak and helping us to work with our maintenance person to stop the leak. If that wasn't enough...our large dog also chewed up his harness used for his walks and Jon was able to purchase a replacement and sent a receipt to be reimbursed so that our dog didn't have to miss either of his twice a day walks! We strongly suggest working with Jon and will definitely call him again in the future when we need someone reliable to take care of our pets and our home.

I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I am mostly looking for work on weekdays to keep myself busy, especially during the daytime.

I don’t have a fenced yard, so I will always go on a walk. I can definitely crate your dog if needed. My dachshund would also love some company!
