I understand that pets are family, and ensuring their happiness and safety is a top priority. With a spacious garden for them to explore and play in, your pet will have plenty of room to enjoy while you’re away. It is my priority to provide loving care and attention, creating a home-away-from-home experience. We left our four month old Skye Terrier with John for a 12 hour stretch and he coped brilliantly- even with a couple of “accidents “. John and his family are clearly dog lovers and Mackie obviously had a lovey time. Thank you. 🙏
John and Claire looked after my dog Margot for the day while I was staying in the Lake District. They were very flexible and friendly and sent lovely photos of Margot during the day which was reassuring for me. Highly recommend 🐾
Finlay had a lovely stay with John and his family and came back happy and relaxed. John kept us updated with photos so we could see that Finlay was having fun and being well cared for. We would recommend John to anyone.

I have the flexibility of working from home so I can adapt my schedule to ensure i’m at home when required 7 days a week.

I have a fenced garden which is very secure and an acre of garden to enjoy. I have an internal/external kennel if needed and also the freedom of the ground floor of the house.

A typical day
A typical day at Broughton Lodge Farm is full of fun, exercise, and plenty of care. I start the morning with a walk around the large garden, giving your pets the space to explore and enjoy the fresh air. After breakfast, i try to engage them in interactive play, whether it’s a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or their favourite toys. By midday, it’s time for some relaxation, with comfy spots to lounge in the sun or shade, followed by individual cuddle time. I might be out in the garden myself, tending to the plants or doing jobs, which means your pet will get plenty of time outside enjoying the fresh air and nature. Later in the afternoon, i’ll keep them mentally stimulated with puzzle games or light training. As the evening comes, we take them for another walk or more playtime before they wind down for a restful night. Every pet gets personalised care, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and right at home during their stay at Broughton Lodge Farm.
