Did not have a great experience with Jocelyn. Left her in care of our house and two dogs, a 3 year old retriever who needed medication for kidney problems, and our under 1 year old Pyrenees. We were in Europe for over 2 weeks, and we didnt get much contact from her unless there was issues. Figuring the issues were being solved as they came up, we assumed everything was going smoothly. Not going to get too much into the issues here, but the big ones: She had run out of one of the medications for the older dog, and didnt mention it. She had our contact as well as the vets contact, and just didnt mention it at all. When we had met her and went over things with her, she said that they wouldn't be alone for more than 4 hours a day. Well, after arriving home and reviewing our security camera footage (after the other problems came to light) we found she was leaving them alone for 8 hours every day. When we arrived home, we arrived to a giant dog bed chewed to pieces, as well as a couch cushion and a winter jacket. Plenty of damage that should have been mentioned while we were away. The puppy is in a bit of a destructive phase, so we made it clear that he would need attention, and to have every closet and door closed if she was away, and we found kids shoes in the backyard destroyed, and with all of the things chewed up it was clear that things were left open, and he was not given much care or enrichment to keep him occupied (understandable for a puppy being left home for 8 hours). Basically, she fed them twice a day, and gave Ripley her medication as instructed. I can't comment on any level of care provided above and beyond that. The day we arrived home, she had said that she left at 11 am, and we got in at 5 pm to all of the destruction. Reviewing the security camera, we saw that she had actually left at 830 am, which led to us looking back at all of the other days as well and noticing how long they were left alone. They do have a dog door, so they did have access to come in and out, but we entrusted Jocelyn to care for our dogs, not just keep them alive. Lesson learned, our dogs are safe but we will be doing much better vetting if we are to ever use rover in the future at all.
