We have always been an animal lovers and have had a variety of different dogs growing up and as my own, We always worried about leaving them when we go on holiday or out at work or hospital stays! We started happy Hounds after caring for friends & family dogs and we got our Licence in December 2016. We have just been issued 5* rating by chesterfield borough council in our recent inspection. We have a large secure garden close to parks cctv inside and outside and live cameras accessible 24hr even away from the premises! We treat all our guests as we do our very own spoilt Westie and our business is growing from excellent recommendation and word of mouth, we always meet and greet our New guests first and let you visit us as many times as you need to feel happy about leaving your fur baby. We take day boarders and weekend full weeks even a few hours we are happy to suit whatever your needs are. We send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your holiday or day out knowing they are having a great time too. Lots of treats 24 hour companionship the whole house as well as sleeping in our bedroom and our bed we don't banish them downstairs or use cages ( unless at your request). Try us you won't be disappointed. References available on request.

This was busters second stay with Joanne. Came home absolutely full of beans having obviously HG and a wonderful time. Joanne is an excellent dog sitter and we will definitely let Buster have his holidays with her again. Highly recommend
As always our dogs came back from Joanne happy and settled. Our puppy is quite energetic and disruptive so appreciate the battle it must have been to control her.
Joanne was great with my Betsy , photos and a video was great to receive whilst away, very reassuring. Would deffo recommend Love Betsy and Lynn
Rosie had a lovely holiday with Jo. Rosie can be quite shy around new people, but warmed up immediately to Jo! Jo took Rosie’s dietary requirements and medications in her stride, and throughout Rosie’s stay we received regular updates on her. We picked Rosie up healthy happy and a little disappointed to leave! Jo is amazing and Rosie absolutely loves her!
As always Dude had a great stay and came home settled and happy.
Jo took care of our 5 month old Boston for 9 nights and she was very well looked after. We got photos and videos while we were away and our pup seemed very content! Jo was also thorough in making sure our dog was fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment which was a comfort as she looks after multiple dogs during the day so it was good to know she makes sure they are all healthy. We also took our pup to Jo for a day's trial before the actual stay which was great for all of us and meant she wasn't going somewhere unfamiliar when we went away. We would definitely make use of Jo's services again and would recommend her to others.
