I’m currently a MA student on break, so my schedule is very flexible and open throughout the week. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends — whatever works best for your pet’s routine. Since I’ve cared for animals most of my life, I’m used to building my day around their needs — from feeding and playtime to quiet companionship. Whether your pet is an early riser or a night owl, I’m happy to adjust and give them the time, attention, and love they deserve. This summer, I’m excited to spend more time doing what I love — caring for furry friends!

When caring for pets in their own home, I make it a priority to create a calm, respectful, and safe environment — for both the animals and the home itself. I always follow the pet parent’s instructions carefully, stick to established routines, and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and comfort. I’m naturally quiet and gentle — I move calmly, speak softly, and make sure not to disturb neighbors or the rhythm of the home. Whether it’s a sensitive pet or a peaceful apartment, I adapt to the space with care and respect. I understand that being invited into someone’s home is a matter of trust, and I treat that trust with care. I’m tidy, reliable, and respectful of your space — and always make sure your pet feels secure, seen, and loved while you’re away.

Before caring for a pet, I’d love to know about their personality, daily routine, and any special needs — including health issues, medications, dietary restrictions, and how they usually react to new people or environments. For cats, I like to ask how they show affection (or boundaries!), where they like to spend time, and how social they are. For dogs, it’s helpful to know their walk preferences, energy level, and any triggers I should avoid. The more I know, the better I can tailor care to help your pet feel safe, relaxed, and happy while you’re away!

Every pet is different, so I always tailor the day to their personality and comfort level — whether they’re an energetic pup or a calm, independent cat. For dogs, I love starting the day with a nice walk in a quiet green space, followed by some playtime at home (tug-of-war, sniff games, or gentle training exercises depending on their age and energy level). I always make time for rest, cuddles, and lots of praise. If they enjoy it, I’ll also introduce enrichment toys or slow-feeders for fun and mental stimulation. For cats, I follow their lead. Some love interactive play with string toys or laser pointers, while others prefer a sunny nap and soft brushing sessions. I also enjoy quiet companionship — reading or working nearby so they feel safe and seen. I keep their routines consistent and always make sure their environment feels calm, clean, and predictable. No matter the species, I aim to create a peaceful, loving atmosphere — where they feel safe, cared for, and understood.

Animals have always been more than pets to me — they’re family. My own cat, a fluffy Maine Coon with a big personality, has been with me since he was 4 months old, and he’s 5 now. We spent years together in Canada, and last year I brought him all the way back to China — because when you love someone, distance doesn’t matter (even international paperwork!). Caring for him has taught me so much — from daily routines like feeding, grooming, play, and health care, to understanding his moods, building trust, and respecting his boundaries. I also grew up with both big and small dogs, and I’ve helped friends look after their cats and dogs over the years. Whether it’s feeding, walking, bathing, or just quietly sitting with them, I genuinely enjoy every moment of being around animals. I know how much pets mean to us — they’re comfort, companionship, and unconditional love all in one. That’s exactly how I treat every pet I meet: with patience, gentleness, and the kind of care I’d want for my own.

Jianming was the best cat sitter we've ever had! Our cats loved her immediately and she sent so many lovely updates while we were away. Super professional and took great care of them. She also kept the house super clean and tidy
Jianming is amazing, our kitties love her even the one that is a little bit more shy with people. Her communication is great, she sends plenty of photos/videos and keep you up to date with everything. I highly recommand her to look after your furry babies.
Jianming did a great job taking really good care of our cat and house while we were on holiday. She sent loads and loads of pictures and videos, she clearly paid close attention to all her food and playing needs and when we got home the house was really tidy - I wouldn't have known she had been there if it hadn't been for all the pictures. Our cat is a real character - she hates being locked in, loves to wonder but gets lonely when we're on holiday so needs someone around otherwise she goes really far and tries to move in with other families. She didn't do this for the first time in ages which meant Jianming must have taken good care of her!
Jianming looked after my puppy for several hours last night and was fantastic. She came over to say hello a few days before, which I really appreciated, and arrived on time on the day — making sure she understood PJ’s feeding and potty schedules before I left. She also kept me updated on how things were going and sent photos. My dog was super chilled with her and on great form when I got back. 100% would recommend Jianming.
