Hi, I’m Jesper! I’m an experienced house and pet sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their people are away. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of different ages, personalities, and needs, including anxious pets and dogs requiring medication. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, medications, keeping an eye on changes in behavior, and of course giving plenty of attention and affection. I’m currently based around Poulsbo and the Kitsap Peninsula, and pet and house sitting has become a regular part of my life. I’ve cared for pets both locally and while traveling, and I understand that looking after someone’s home is just as important as looking after their animals. Before my first visit I prefer to arrange a Meet & Greet whenever possible. It gives your pet a chance to get comfortable with me and allows you to walk me through their normal routine. We can go over feeding, walks, medications, sleeping arrangements, favorite toys and treats, emergency contacts, veterinarian information, house access, and anything else that helps your pet feel at home while you’re away. During my visit I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. That can include feeding and fresh water, walks and bathroom breaks, litter care, medication, playtime, brushing, cuddles, or simply keeping them company if they prefer a quieter approach. I’m also happy to take care of small household tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out garbage, and keeping things tidy. I’ll send regular photos and updates so you know how your pet is doing. If anything unusual comes up, I’ll communicate with you right away. Your home I take the responsibility of being in someone else’s home seriously. I’m respectful, clean, dependable, and careful about doors, locks, keys, and security. My goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home exactly as you left it. Most importantly, I treat every animal as an individual. Some want long walks and lots of play; others just want a calm person nearby and a comfortable lap. I’m happy to give them whichever they need. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Jesper

Jesper handled Pirate with such care! There were some issues with our neighbors and Jesper was excellent at defusing the situation, (probably better than we would have). We highly recommend him for any pet sit and will request his skills and help again!

Jesper did an outstanding job house-sitting and caring for our two dogs while we were away. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing our home and pets were in such capable hands. Our dogs were happy, well-exercised, and clearly received plenty of attention and affection. Jesper kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. What impressed us most was the condition of our home when we returned. Not only was everything perfectly cared for, but the house was actually cleaner than when we left. It was such a wonderful surprise to come home to a spotless, well-maintained house and two very content dogs. Jesper is reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely cares about both the pets and the homes he looks after. We would not hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch house and pet sitter.
Jesper was a wonderful sitter for us. He took Gus on long forest and beach walks, loved on Gus and the cats, kept the house immaculate, was low maintenance, and sent us great photos and updates. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter!
This was our first time leaving our 10 month old dog and Jesper made this experience absolutely amazing! He sent us updates throughout the two weeks which included videos and pictures. He left our home as clean or if not cleaner than we left too! We are so beyond grateful for the love he gave Kirby and how attentive he was to his needs! We will definitely be in touch with him and his availability when we travel again!

For dogs, I build in structured walks and breaks around my work blocks, ensuring they get regular exercise and attention between my writing and publishing tasks. For cats, I provide quiet, respectful care with regular check-ins, play, and feeding - always adjusted to their personality and comfort level.

- The more I know ahead of time, the better experience I can provide. Helpful information includes: Daily routine – Feeding schedule, walk times, bedtime habits, and favorite activities. Personality – Are they shy, social, energetic, anxious, independent, or a professional cuddle expert? Medical needs – Medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, mobility concerns, or anything I should monitor. Behavioral quirks – Fears, triggers, separation anxiety, leash reactivity, escape tendencies, or habits that might surprise a new sitter. Likes and dislikes – Favorite toys, treats, games, sleeping spots, and things they absolutely don’t enjoy. Training and commands – Words, cues, house rules, and any ongoing training you’d like me to reinforce. Emergency information – Veterinarian contact details and preferred emergency procedures. Every pet is unique, and I love getting to know what makes yours special. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent, comfortable, and stress-free as possible while you’re away.
