Availability
**Important rate structure info for dog boarding clients: I charge $60 per 24 hrs. Pickups that take place more than 24 hours after drop-off will incur an additional prorated daycare fee based on the extra time your pup is in care ($3.30 per hour). I will always ask you for a pick-up and drop off time before booking. I am currently available for care 7 days a week, weekdays generally 7am-7pm, weekends generally 10am-6pm. However, this schedule is flexible on a case-by-case basis. (Please note: while I do my best to be diligent about returning your messages/booking requests as promptly as possible, boarding/drop-in/house sitting requests placed after 8pm may not be answered until the following day. Thanks!)

Of course, as most dog owners in the city know, we are restricted to the confines of our apartments. I tend to prefer good long walks to get that exercise in for the fur baby so that they’re not feeling stir crazy at home. For house sitting scenarios, this is of course mostly a case-by-case basis and I will follow your instructions as to what works and what doesn’t to the letter- in general, I have experience using treats as an incentive to curb any mischievous behavior, and with using gentle play time with doggy toys to help them get some energy out in a controlled manner.

Information Javier F. would like to know about your pet
Are shots up to date? What commands does your dog respond to? Are they treat/food motivated on walks? Are there any particular games they like to play? PLEASE BE ADVISED when making doggy daycare/boarding requests - we do have a cat in our home. She’s fairly timid and will often run to her mama’s room when there are new guests in our home.
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s needs, our walks will range anywhere from a quick spin around the block to get all the new smells for the day or we’ll go to the nearest park for some games and play.

Fun-loving dog uncle 👨🏻🐶
Pet care experience
I have been living with dogs, large and medium sized, on and off for the past decade or so. I am currently so lucky to have been given the chance to be a devoted dog uncle to my roommates’/best friends’ amstaff pitbull Daisy for the last year and a half, and it has been a wildly educational and rewarding experience. Daisy, who is a rescue and is working through some significant trauma, is a sweet soul who demands an especially high level of care and affection and love. This means I’ve been in the trenches with her owners, and I have become very familiar with the rigorous schedule and training that comes with raising a rescued dog, which has in turn only underscored for me the importance of nurturing an environment that is safe and loving for dogs of all different breeds and experiences. As such, I am great with play time and long walks, as well as with calming techniques and tactics for redirecting energy and attention. Long story short, I would love to spend some time with your furry loved one!
Reviews

Javier was so kind and sweet to our senior pup. As anxious parents, we felt so reassured and comforted knowing that Sangchu was in good hands and we really appreciated Javier welcoming our pup to his home.

Javier was communicative, kind and understanding of Georgie’s nervous tendencies - will definitely book again. Thank you, Javier!

Javier was amazing with our girl. Super responsive and good vibes overall. She seems to have love her time with him and we got lots of pictures. Definitely will have her stay with him again.

Thank you so much Javier, you’re the best!
