I always find it easier when I know more about the dog beforehand so there's no surprises. There’s a lot of four-legged traffic near my patio, so it’s particularly important to know how reactive your dog is as well. I do live in an apartment so especially vocal dogs may upset my neighbors who have small children and work odd hours, so I would ask you board them elsewhere with someone who has more space.

Totally depends on the dogs and the owners comfort! I work from home during the week, but my schedules flexible so I will be able to take the pup on lots of walks or trips to the dog park. Or they can lay on the couch or on the patio if they'd prefer! On the weekends I try and be more active, so I might take them on a longer walk in the area or to a trip to a nearby park if you're comfortable with that!
