I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! As a grad student, I own a 13 year old cat and a 3 month old kitten. I also consistently foster and volunteer for our local humane society, where I have cared for animals of various ages, demeanors, and health conditions, and learned to detect and mitigate signs of distress. Surrounding myself with animals has allowed me to gain a more comprehensive understanding and appreciation for all of our furry friends! As an active person, I enjoy taking dogs on walks and playing with them outside. I take any and every chance to spend time with your pets while going on adventures and snuggling up with them. I also consider myself very punctual, prioritizing attention to detail, and I will stick to whatever food and medication schedules your animals have to ensure they don’t stray from their daily routines. My experience includes administering oral medication, checking glucose levels, and injecting medication, specifically insulin, into diabetic animals. My grad school schedule gives me a lot of flexibility during the week. Most weekdays, I’ll only be gone 2-3 hours in the middle of the day, which gives me more than enough time to tend to your fur babies!
