I have pretty flexible days with my job and can easily do mornings, many afternoons, and most nights (Monday is the only tricky night unless you don't mind a before 2pm and/or after 8pm visit).

I like to meet the cats, taking cues from them, and let them investigate and acclimate to a new person. I'm patient with shy ones, and love to pick up, and chat with the talkative active ones if that's what they want. I'll go over all of your instructions and ask clarifying questions, nothing left to chance. It's not a small thing to leave a beloved creature in the care of another human, and I treat the experience with respect. We can go over as much detail as you like, you are the cruise director and I love taking notes. The very basic usual: clean water dish changes every time, cleaning the litter box, looking out for any... hairballs in the house (oh cats). No creature gets out of an cracked door or window, I know how sneaky some of them can be. Meds, pill pockets, that kind of thing. If it's appropriate to your cat's health/age/temperament, we can sit and hang out a little, play with toys or empty boxes, give them some focused attention. Or, I can be a quieter caretaker if they would rather nap and find the general presence of humans kind of annoying. I love taking beautiful photos of pets, so if you'd like that I can definitely do that! Or, we can also not, up to you :) I'm happy to provide updates and check in, you let me know what level of that you prefer. On the last day of the visit I like to leave a handwritten note about the experience overall (did they seem to like me, did they turn their nose up at the treat bag, did they chat my ear off when I walked into the living room, that kind of thing).

Quality care + attunement for cats.
Doświadczenie w opiece nad kotami
Hey cats, let's chase toy mice, or just sit quietly and watch birds together. You pick. I've had 4 legged creatures since I was a small child, lets say around 30 years. My family (including myself) trained dogs in agility for competitions, and still I always wanted a cat. I got my wish in middle school and we got two (very chatty and active) Tonkinese kittens. Jinx used to eat my homework, and my Gary girl lived with me in college and after until she passed in 2019 (kidney disease). She was my little shadow. Very chatty, super playful, incredibly talkative - it was almost like having a dog. Later in her senior life I managed her health with in-home fluids, special food, and care and attention. Growing up I pet sat for neighbors and friends, and kept that going through college. I sit for friends now, especially since I miss having a cat of my own the last few years. So young or elder, chatty cats or quiet ones, playful or shy, I've seen it all and am just excited to spend time with and care for your cats :)

Janine is a wonderful petsitter! I would highly recommend her to take care of your cats and/or dogs. She has been caring, thoughtful, and attentive to my pet’s needs. She is also trustworthy and highly responsible. Your mind will be at ease knowing your little fur baby is in her care.
Janine is fantastic! She is one of the most responsible and diligent people that I know, and I would trust her entirely with the care of any of my pets. She also has a very calm and approachable demeanor, perfect for both shy and outgoing kitty friends.
Janine has such a gentle spirit and our small dog loves her. She helped walk him for us when our family needed some extra help. She even wrote us a little note. She is reliable, caring, and a great communicator. I know how much Janine loves cats and I’m confident that she will make sure your beloved pets are cared for.
