Pet care is already a major part of my daily life. Having worked with dogs professionally for the past 4 years, caring for animals has become second nature to me. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, feeding, enrichment activities, and providing companionship. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so incorporating dog walks and exercise into my day is something I genuinely look forward to. I also understand the importance of maintaining a pet's routine, and I make every effort to keep feeding schedules, exercise, and care consistent to help pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Caring for animals isn't just a job for me—it's something I'm passionate about and enjoy every day.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether I am caring for pets in your home or just dog walking, my priority is always providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while maintaining the routine they are familiar with. I take the time to learn each pet's individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, training cues, and any special instructions. During visits, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, enrichment, playtime, and exercise appropriate for their age and energy level. I also closely monitor their behavior and well-being to make sure they are happy, healthy, and comfortable. With my background working in dog daycare, training, and canine behavior, I am experienced with dogs of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I am comfortable caring for puppies who need structure and consistency, as well as senior dogs who may require extra patience, monitoring, or medication administration. I believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give owners peace of mind while they are away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to house them at my place as my own dog is not very fond of new dogs.
Information Jaida D. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible about their routine and individual needs. Important information includes feeding schedules, medications, allergies, medical conditions, exercise requirements, and any behavioral concerns or triggers. I also like to know the commands they respond to, especially if they use cues that differ from common commands like sit, stay, or come. Consistency is important, and I want to make sure I communicate with your pet in a way they're familiar with. It's also helpful to understand your household rules and boundaries. For example, are they allowed on furniture, beds, or couches? Are there any areas of the home that are off-limits? Knowing these expectations helps me maintain the same structure and routine your pet is used to while you're away. The more information you can provide, the better I can ensure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and at home in my care.
A typical day
I love providing both physical exercise and mental enrichment for the dogs in my care. Mental stimulation is just as important as physical activity, so I enjoy incorporating activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats, food puzzles, scent work, and basic obedience training into our time together. For dogs who enjoy adventure and are suited for it, I love exploring local trails, parks, and hiking areas. During the summer, one of my favorite activities is spending time at the beach with my own dog, and I enjoy giving dogs opportunities to safely explore new environments and have fun. Every dog is different, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, personality, and owner's preferences. Whether it's a relaxing walk, a training session, enrichment games, or an outdoor adventure, my goal is to keep dogs happy, engaged, and fulfilled while they're in my care.

Reliable, Loving Pet Care
Pet care experience
What sets me apart is my professional experience and deep understanding of canine behavior. For the past 4 years, I've worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments at a busy dog daycare, where I progressed into a management role. I also spent 2 years volunteering and working at a dog training facility, gaining hands-on experience with puppy development, basic obedience, and behavior modification. I am certified in Canine First Aid and CPR, giving pet parents added peace of mind that their dogs are in safe and capable hands. In addition, I am a certified Canine Social Behaviorist, which allows me to better understand dog body language, social interactions, and individual needs. Whether I'm caring for a playful puppy, an energetic adolescent, or a senior dog requiring extra patience and attention, I strive to provide a safe, structured, and loving environment where every dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for like family.
Reviews
Jaida is the most dog loving, caring and careful dog person I have ever met. Her and I worked together at a dog daycare where she insured that all of the dogs were always comfortable, felt happy and knew that they were in a safe caring place. She is also very good at respecting boundaries as she understands that some dogs need time to warm up to people so she will get dog face in time to get used to her.
