When I was 19, I found five puppies and turned them into an animal shelter. However, I ended up adopting all of them. Over the next 15 years, they grew old and passed away. Thankfully, I had loving parents who helped take care of them during that time. Later, I had my very own dog, Kobe, a black Labrador, who was with me for 14.5 years before passing away about two years ago. Since then, I haven't gotten another dog. In total, I've found homes for 11 dogs over the years. I don’t have a dog right now, but I’d love to spend more time around dogs again.
