Pet care experience

33 Years Care + Full-Time At Home

33 Years of Expert, Full-Time Care for All Ages & Needs I offer a high-level care environment backed by over three decades of experience with domestic pets and wildlife rehab. Because I am home 21–22 hours a day, your pet will become a true part of our family and will rarely be without human companionship. I form deep bonds with our guests quickly, ensuring they receive a ton of love and playtime. Specialized Medical & Senior Care I am highly confident in providing specialized care for pets that need a extra attention: Medication: Proficient in administering oral, ear, and eye meds (including using a piller). Senior Support: I have a deep heart for seniors. Having cared for my own deaf Lab with severe mobility issues and night confusion, I am experienced with ramps, gentle lifting techniques, and managing "sundowning" anxiety. Neonatal Expertise: Extensive history with rescue work, including bottle/tube feeding day-old kittens and administering specialized meds. A Safe & Flexible Home Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities: The Yard: We have a half-acre lot with a large, secure privacy-fenced backyard for supervised exploration. Customized Space: I have separate rooms available for pets who need their own quiet space. I can easily schedule separate outdoor and house time to accommodate different temperaments or energy levels. Diverse Experience: Beyond dogs and cats, I am experienced with chickens, ducks, ferrets, birds, and small mammals. Whether your pet is a high-energy pup, a delicate newborn, or a sweet senior needing a gentle hand, they will find a safe, expert home with me.

Mango had a Blast with Jacquelyn and Maverick! Having daily updates and frequent communication really had my mind at ease knowing Mango was in good hands While my wife and I were on vacation. Jacquelyn is absolutely the right choice for anyone looking to board their pets and she will treat them like her own!

Jacquelyn was absolutely amazing with our sweet girl!! We got so many pictures and so many updates on Twiggy and it put my dog mom heart at ease! Twiggy had fun with her family and other dogs that were there! Never left her with someone that long before (besides deployment) and I can confidently say that I would trust Jacquelyn to take care of our sweet girl in the future, too!

Love, love, loved boarding Cindy Lou with Jacquelyn! She really goes out of her way to make sure the pups are comfortable and get along. Cindy Lou always had her own space to go to when she didn’t want to be around the other dogs or take a nap. The photo and message updates were always highly appreciated! Will definitely be booking again in the future!

Jacquelyn was amazing with our dog Indy! Indy was nervous going to a new place and she made her feel completely at ease. Indy gets anxiety at times in new places or just out of separation but we were happy with how well it went with everything. Definitely would recommend! Thanks for all you did!

Schedule

I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my daily routine is basically built around the pets. Since I’m home 21–22 hours a day, they’re rarely alone and get to be my little shadows while I'm going about my day. We spend a lot of time hanging out in our big, fenced-in yard or just relaxing inside. Because I’m here full-time, it’s easy for me to keep up with their usual habits—like medicine on time, regular potty breaks, or keeping the litter boxes clean. I get attached to our guests pretty quickly, so they’ll get plenty of attention and won't just be sitting in a corner. They really just become part of the family while they're here.

Safety, trust & environment

My home is set up so every guest feels safe and comfortable. We have a half-acre with a privacy-fenced backyard for plenty of supervised outdoor time, and inside, I have separate rooms available. This allows me to give pets their own quiet space or rotate "house time" if they aren't social with others. Since I'm home almost 24/7, I can easily handle specialized needs like bottle-feeding, senior mobility help, or strict medication schedules. Whether they are playing in the yard or napping in their own area, they are treated like our own pets from the moment they walk in.

A typical day

Yard Time, Cuddles, and Enrichment Since I have a privacy-fenced yard, my dog guests get plenty of supervised outdoor time to sniff around, run, and play. Whether it's a game of fetch or just lounging in the grass, they get to burn off energy safely. We have a ball launcher our lab uses that is quite easy to teach other dogs to use as well. All the fetch, none of the sore arms! For my cat guests and smaller pets, the fun is all about one-on-one attention. I love to get on their level for: Interactive Play: Using feather wands and toys for cats, or providing enrichment for birds and ferrets. Spoiling & Snuggles: I get attached quickly, so there is never a shortage of lap time or head scratches. Mental Stimulation: I love using my experience with different species to keep them engaged, whether that’s specialized "out-of-cage" time for small pets or quiet bonding for my senior guests. Basically, if they have a favorite way to play or relax, that’s exactly what I’ll do!

To make sure your pet has the best stay possible, please let me know: Social Comfort: How do they do around other dogs and cats? Medical Needs: Are there any current medications, allergies, or mobility issues I should be aware of? Feeding Habits: Do they have a specific schedule, or are they prone to "resource guarding" (protecting their food or toys)? Safety Quirks: Are they a "flight risk" or a jumper/digger? (Even with my privacy fence, I like to be extra cautious!) Potty Routine: Are they fully house-trained, or do they have a specific "signal" when they need to go out? Fears/Triggers: Do they have any anxieties with loud noises like thunder or specific types of handling? The more I know about their quirks and "house rules," the easier it is for me to make them feel right at home!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
