I am a graduating senior at San Diego State University with a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to every pet in my care. I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking and can accommodate both planned bookings and last minute requests.

With over 4 years of professional veterinary experience, I understand what it takes to keep pets safe, comfortable, and cared for. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep everything as close to their usual routine as possible so they feel safe and happy while you are away. I follow any specific instructions carefully - feeding times, medications, and walking schedules - because I know how important consistency is for an animal's wellbeing. I will always ensure they get plenty of love and comfort, treating every pet the way I treat my own. My goal is always to make them feel cared for, relaxed, and less lonely until you return home!

It would be best to inform me ahead of time if your dog requires any medication or special care so I may prepare properly for them. It would also be important to know if they should not go to a dog park, beach, or be around children and/or other dogs.

With a background in veterinary care, I know that every pet has their own personality, needs, and comfort level. A typical day looks different for every animal - whether that's an energetic walk to the beach, a relaxed afternoon with their favorite toys, or simply some quality cuddle time. I pay close attention to how each pet is feeling and adjust accordingly, always making sure they are stimulated, comfortable, and well cared for. My goal is simple: for them to have such a good time that they barely notice you're gone!:)

My family and I have always had dogs in our household and I am a lifelong animal lover. I currently have a shih tzu poodle mix named Cooper and a chihuahua yorkie mix named Yogi, both rescues. I previously volunteered at Dog Adoption Welfare Group (DAWG) and have over 4 years of professional veterinary experience — working as a kennel assistant at White's Pet Hospital and as a veterinary assistant at both VCA Century Veterinary Group and Goodland Pet Hospital. Through these roles I developed hands-on skills in medication administration, animal handling, emergency care, and maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare.

My dogs came home happy and very, very tired, which is excellent - they had a great time with Jacob! His back yard is perfect for dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving them with him (and I tend to be a worrier when it comes to my dogs). Highly recommend!!
Jacob is awesome. He’s on time and takes Apache on different walks which I appreciate. He takes care of Apache’s walking needs even when I had something come up last minute! I would recommend you use Jacob to watch your dog anytime!
Jacob did a great job taking care of Minnie! Great communication and he was very flexible in terms of working with our schedule. We loved getting a picture update to see how Minnie was doing!
I highly recommend Jacob. His communication with me was timely and thorough. Most important, my dog Missy was content to walk away from me with Jacob, and she told me she had a good time.
