I am a naturopathic medical student. Half of my day consists of studying and being at home. Of course, my schedule varies as semesters go on and classes change. Yet, I would love to spend my home time caring for and hanging out with canines. I enjoy walks, hikes, runs, snuggles, and/or anything they desire.

Being in the Arizona heat, I prefer to walk early or late and put booties on dogs to keep them safe from the heat. I follow any requirements or specific needs of the owners. If homes are fenced in, I ensure gates are locked before letting dogs outside and I enjoy being out with them. Enrichment activities, eating, and play is always supervised. Before I leave, I clean up and double-check the area to make sure the dogs are safe and comfy. All the same, as I have done with my family's dogs and the canines at the SPCA.

A typical day
Enrichment is important in a dog's life. Lickmats, kongs, and scent games are great ways that I have previously entertained dogs and they love it. Indoor games are especially helpful during the Arizona summers.

I cared for and walked dogs of all sizes at my hometown SPCA for a year. I've taken a canine body language training course. I trained two puppies; quickly potty trained, and taught them many tricks and good behaviors.
