Please note: I work on site full-time during the week, so I would have to be away from 9am to 5pm. Hi! I’m a PhD student at UCL. I moved to London from Germany where I lived for 4 years for my undergrad and started catsitting using Cat in a Flat. I only had great experiences with pet sitting and met wonderful cats & very nice people, so I decided to keep doing it here in London. I'm originally from Istanbul, a city that is known for its love for cats! I grew up with animals - not only at home but also on the streets. Since I was little, we have cared for many stray animals besides our house cats. Unfortunately, we can’t have any pets in our flat here in London, so I can’t think of a better part-time job than one with animals :) Regarding birds, rodents, rabbits, reptiles & fish: I love all animals, and I’d be fine with any species as long as I’m instructed clearly on how to handle them. I have a lot of experience with cats, dogs and rodents. I have been pet sitting on Cat in a Flat (now Rover) for the last 7 years and formed long lasting relationships with my clients (see pictures of the furry friends I made along the way). I don’t charge extra for additional pets. Always happy to hang out with animals!

I live in a shared flat with 2 other flatmates who love animals. We have hosted animal guests before and enjoyed taking them out for walks together, and they always had enough play buddies at all times. I am always very careful about foods and plants that can be toxic to animals, and we don’t own any.
Ratings and reviews
Irmak was amazing! She stayed with Milo, our 16 year old Italian Greyhound for 4 days, house sitting. Milo had to last minute have dental surgery, so was more needy than usual, but Irmak kept a close eye on him and kept us updated on how he was doing the whole time we were gone. 100% we will be rebooking with her in the future ❤️
I always feel so reassured and lucky to be able to leave my cat with Irmak. She takes incredible care of her and sends lots of pictures and regular updates, Mittens loves it when she comes to stay. Shes a brilliant communicator and always goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly and is taken care of. Couldn't recommend her highly enough!
Irmak is a fantastic cat sitter, she painstakingly cared for my cat Mittens and looked after my flat beautifully. She is a brilliant, reliable commutator and really appreciated all the photos and videos whilst I was away :)
Irmak has been wonderful — a great communicator and incredibly kind with my shy cat, Marla. I was amazed at how quickly they bonded; soon Marla even let her be brushed and have her belly touched. Irmak never missed a visit, helped set up a Wi-Fi feeder, and was calm, caring, and reliable throughout. Highly recommended!
Irmak looked after our cat over the Christmas break, staying over with him. She was brilliant, responsive, helpful and our little guy loved her. Would highly recommend!
I’m always nervous leaving my cat, but Irmak kept me updated with pictures and texts showing all was well. I came home to a very tidy house and happy cat! She was a great sitter - would definitely book again :)

Schedule
I'm usually working during the day, but my working hours are extremely flexible. While house sitting or boarding may require extra arrangements on my side, 1 or 2 visits a day or taking dogs out for walks are always very doable, and I can accommodate your time preferences easily.
