With my own dogs, I walk them three times a day—morning, afternoon, and evening—for at least 10 minutes to keep them active and happy. If time allows, I enjoy taking longer walks depending on the dog’s energy level and needs. During the week, I also like taking them to a park or somewhere new so they can explore and smell new things for enrichment. At home, I always make time to play with them and keep them mentally stimulated. For my cat, I have a cat tree and several scratching posts around the house so they stay comfortable and entertained even when I’m running errands. When caring for a client’s pet, I make sure to follow their routine, feeding schedule, and any specific instructions so their pet feels safe and comfortable.
