We both work from home, and are active folks who love to go on long walks around the neighborhood, or chill on the couch if that's what your pup prefers. We also have a closed-in yard with birds visiting the feeders and fountain, and we enjoy sitting outside with a furry friends on nice days.

We just said goodbye to our furry bestie after 17+ years together and suffice it to say, our lives revolved around him. Be it cooking him gourmet meals from scratch, taking him on multiple walks a day, or strolls in a cart when his legs became too weak, we were always together. We miss having dog energy in the home and would be thrilled to cuddle up or pal around with your pup. We have central AC and Heat too, so if your pup gets hot or cold, we're on the case.

Any special needs, sensitivities, food restrictions, favorite things, dislikes, whether they are friendly with dogs they pass on the street, what time they wake up, and what time they tend to get their last walk.
A typical day
We'll go for walks, eat the approved foods and treats, play catch if that's your pup's thing, or lounge around. We live in a hilly area of Silver Lake, so for dogs with more energy, we'll get in lots of steps. For more mellow pups, we have a pretty yard and can sit together outside and watch the birds and butterflies. If I have enough time during your pup's stay, I'll draw/paint a little portrait of your pup and gift it to you when you pick them up. See photo gallery for examples.

We're writers and seasoned pet lovers/carers who live in a two-bedroom apartment in Silver Lake with a bucolic fenced in yard. We're ready to love-bomb your pup and ply them with as many treats as they are allowed to have. Senior pups and youngins welcome. We'll toss balls or play tug of war or lounge around. Your pup's wish is our command. We recently said goodbye to our pup of 17+ years and miss tail wags and dog antics. We only host one pup at a time and that way we give your pup all our love and full attention during their stay.

Hilary and Jared were great! Provided lots of updates and had everything my dog needed for a comfortable overnight stay. They’re in a great area and have a nice backyard which was a bonus for my dog who loves to lounge outside!
