I am a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my children part-time. Our schedule is flexible during the day. Our afternoons are busy with activities, however making time to take care of furred and feathered friends before or after activities is always welcomed.

I have a fenced in area where our dogs are free to go in and out for potty breaks and to lay on the deck in the sunshine. Our pups would be happy to show your pup(s) the ropes around here. I am also happy to come to your home to take care of your pets.

We live in a great neighborhood with lots of fun smells to check out. Playtime is always super fun in our home. A game of fetch is a favorite pastime around here. We have a lot of dog toys that our pups would love to share with their new friend(s). In our home, our pets are allowed to sleep with us and cuddle on the couch. Your pet(s) would become part of our pack. So whether your dog loves walks, playing fetch, or taking it easy, our home is the place to be.

Hi! I'm Heather and I look forward to caring for your family pet(s). I always wanted to work with animals and began pet sitting in college where I went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology. I am a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College and worked as an Elephant Keeper/Trainer for 6 years at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Prior to having human children and being a stay-at-home mom, my career goals always involved working in the animal field. I have volunteered and interned with San Diego Zoo Global helping out with research projects such as the Indian Rhinoceros Project & Elephant Baby Watch. I spent a summer out on San Clemente Island as a Research Fellow where I helped out with the Loggerhead Shrike Recovery Program. I have worked for Project Wildlife in their triage center and have helped SoCal Parrot with special needs parrots. My family now has 2 dogs, a Chihuahua mix named Tanner and a Terrier mix named Baxter. Our house cat named Socks and 2 barn cats named Mr. Dinkles and Aura. We also have a mini pigs (Brad, Petunia & Mei Mei), chickens, and 3 sheep (Charlotte, Gretl & Percy). Taking care of animals is a true passion of mine. Your pet(s) will be in loving arms while you are not home. I'm happy to spend time just playing, going for a walk, cuddle time or spending some time training.

Heather’s house was amazing and we could tell the second we dropped our dogs off that they were going to have a blast. Heather sent pictures and was in communication with us. It made leaving our dogs so much easier. Thank you Heather for taking care of our fur babies who we consider our children. We appreciate you so much!
Heather was amazing! She took such great care of my four cats and I’m so appreciative of her and how she figured out each of their personalities. She gave each one attention and even won over my stoic boy. Heather sent lots of pics/videos and messages such as: “Yes, Boba and I are besties now🤣” and “Someone is refusing to let me leave🤣.” Five star rating for sure!
Heather took care of our menagerie several times while we were away. We have 11 pets and she was coming to our house twice a day to take care of 9 of them. That's 4 rabbits, a guinea pig and 4 birds. Not only did she feed them and change their litter and water but she played with them. And I know that because she sent pics. But also, she recognized that one of the rabbits was in stasis and though she contacted me and let me know, I knew she would manage it because she knows rabbits. Having Heather take care of your pets is like having Mary Poppins be your children's governess!
We have been using Heather to watch our two small dogs (18 pounds each) for years and they both love Heather and her home. They get so excited when we get to her house! She sends videos and pictures while we are away which is always nice to see them. I would recommend Heather's home to anyone looking for a home away from home for their pets!
