*Special note to puppy parents or pet parents who are leaving their pets for the first time*: we understand your anxiety handing over your precious ones to a stranger. We’ve been there too! In fact, more than 90% of the dogs who are boarding with us for the first time are also leaving their parents for the first time. Please try not to worry and we strive to make them feel at home <3 Please rest assured that we prioritize safety over everything else. If the stay is longer than two weeks, we send updates every other day instead of daily to avoid bombarding you with hundreds of pictures while you’re on vacation. It doesn’t mean your dog isn’t having a great time :)

We no longer offer free meet and greets or phone/video calls before a booking is confirmed. (The only exception is if the stay is 7 days or more.) Such interactions tend to be short and don’t give us any real opportunity to bond with the dogs nor predict fit. We believe we have more than enough information provided on our profile that makes such arrangements unnecessary. We are a small, personalized family operation with limited bandwidth, and we prioritize caregiving over "pitching and selling" our services. If you want to get a sense of what your dog’s experience would be like, you can get a good picture by reading our profile and our reviews from dog parents like you (many are very recent). We do not give in-person tours of our home. If you’d like to know what it looks like, please ask for a video! Sometimes dog owners want to do an overnight boarding as a test before leaving their dogs with us over a longer period of time. You're welcome to do so, but it’s not a requirement by any means. While we prefer you drop off and pick up yourself, we understand it's not always possible and we are happy to help. You’re welcome to add a sitter pick-up and drop-off service to the booking request. If you live within a reasonable walking distance from us (<15 mins), you will be all set. For pets that live farther or have heavy belongings, where traveling by foot is impractical, please call two round trips of Uber or Lyft between your home and ours, and add us as the rider in the app (we will provide our information to facilitate this). We are unable to provide a sitter pickup service otherwise. We could be boarding more than 1 dog. If you absolutely need your dog to be the only one staying with us, there is a 50% surcharge to offset an extra spot the dog is taking up. Such requests are granted on a case-by-case basis and aren’t guaranteed. When stays are confirmed with us, we clear our personal schedules to accommodate the entirety of your request. If for some reason you need to end the stay early when it has already started, Rover’s system will automatically assess a late cancellation fee out of respect for and to compensate for the sitters’ time. We are unable to waive such a fee. If your pet makes a mess (pooping/peeing/vomiting indoors) that is not the result of sitter negligence, we reserve the right to assess a cleaning fee. Such a cleaning fee must be paid in full via cash, Venmo, or Zelle before your pet is picked up.

We have many dog parks and riverside boulevards near our place! We like to take them on scenic walks, play in a large open area with artificial turfs, or take them to play catch at the dog park, all depend on their own personalities and preferences.

Nothing beats a mother's caring instincts :) We live in a luxury building that’s spacious and pet-friendly. Dog parks, big turfs, and meadows are half a block away. For the health and safety of your beloved one(s), we have two HEPA air-filtration systems, and every dog shares pre-packaged water from Poland Springs with us. We are home full time, so your dog will never be left alone! After our own dog passed away, we have considered raising a dog in NYC but just haven't made the leap yet! We will treat your baby like our own. We are a small family-run operation and we are proud of our work on Rover. We only take small dogs under 16 pounds. This helps us provide quality care. If your loved one has medications or other special accommodations, you MUST let us know the details prior to confirming a booking. We want to make sure we are able to accommodate him/her and make his/her time with us comfortable. Depending on the accommodation we may assess a small but fair surcharge. If we aren't able to accommodate, we will also let you know right away. While we appreciate your interest, please reach out when you have already confirmed your travels/flights/trains etc. Please confirm your stay by booking within 12 hours of initial outreach and don't leave us hanging and wondering about your plans. We do often receive more requests than we are able to accommodate. We are unable to guarantee accommodation if not confirmed within 12 hours. When inputting a drop-off and pick-up appointment, please use a precise time, time frames longer than 30 minutes are not accepted. (If you are caught in traffic or experiencing flight delays, we are happy to accommodate! We understand these things happen.) Pick-up and drop-off hours are 8:30am-11pm daily. Please drop off the night before should you need to catch an early flight. We do NOT offer daycare only. This helps both us and your loved ones stay rested. We appreciate your kind understanding.

Hawthorne and Wei are the only ones we trust to leave our dog Mighty with, they truly go above and beyond. They always send photos and updates every day, and when my flight got delayed on a recent stay, Hawthorne and Wei not only were willing to keep Mighty for an extra day, but since he'd run out of packed food, they even cooked for him! Hawthorne and Wei are absolutely amazing, 1000% recommend ❤️🐾
